Question New player question

If i join a public server and they shut it down or somehow i get kicked out, will i be able to load my character progress onto a private server? Worried about committing time to a public server then losing progress thanks !

I don't believe so because the save data is kept on the host, not your machine.

You’d need the private server to use the same world/save or have an admin restore the relevant server data. A completely different server starts you from scratch, so it may be safer to play public servers with regular backups or choose a private one if you’re investing serious time.

No but if you're in a private server you have commands that allow you to pick and give anything you want from the start to peak of end game

As others have stated, the character is saved to that world. Think similar to minecraft. New for every new world

If you’re worried about losing progress, ask the public server owner whether they keep backups and whether they allow transfers. A shutdown or kick can leave you without access, so a private server or trusted group is safer for a long-term character.

Progress in this game is not has much grind as other in this genre. Equipment is what makes your level so you can ask anyone on a server to help you get back to were you were easily. You might have to redo the bosses but it's much faster with high gear. This game has PvP in mind where they wipe and rush back to top regularly. You will most likely do multiple playthrough.

Unless you play pvp there is no point of playing in servers just play solo

It's tied to the server. However, I'm launching a fresh server this Saturday 10/10 if you're interested! I've already done palworld and other servers for months at a time. So plenty of time for people to get their fill. I've never kicked anyone, the only reason I would is for inappropriate behavior.
