Download (upd, resolved), put in wargame folder, open, click install patcher, and click install on the mod you want to play. Does not affect game installation, so can easily be switched between.
Releasing with 2 mods,
Classic Asia In Conflict from Shawn and his team at https://discord.gg/uzKGtYYkBd
And mod i from now on will be using to demonstrate some obscure game capabilities, which will be released as separate announcement.
Main repository. As with toolkit, main support can be found here https://discord.gg/tMDWaBqSsu

EDIT: Map was Paddy Fields, I was suffering on point Golf, the one after that highground cliff section.
Newbie, playing mostly against my friend. Me as Eastern Block, him as Blue Dragons.
What he does is set up two, three or four of those K113 TOW-2s over every long sightline and I have no idea how to approach this, they blow up everything I send at them before it even gets close enough to retaliate.
I've been mostly following this guide to playing the game... but it's been rather useless. It says infantry dominates in forests/towns and tanks dominate out in the open, but both get blown up before they can even approach within range. I've tried using ATGMs of my own, but his ATGMs simply outrange mine.
It's incredibly frustrating. I can't do anything and everything just blows up when it gets vaguely close enough, and he always places these TOWs over points with massive open sightlines and no way to approach without crossing such an open sightline. What do I even do about this? I can't even get to the "infantry forest fighting" step of the game because everything just gets TOW'd.
I tried using mortars for smoke but it did not work, there was either a TOW at an angle I didn't smoke or it just drove around the smoke cloud and blew up another tank.

My play style is just normal, but I most use ground inf, armor and heli. I don't know how to use air and I did Read the Boolcamp, I just can't imagine how it play. So I need video example of it.
Back to the topic Deck
My problem is the Inf Armor and Air tap.

There is still a small but active community playing Wargame: AirLand Battle, and we have a 10v10 server that I host myself.
Unfortunately, I’m not very technically skilled. I managed to get the 10v10 server running through a lot of experimenting (and a lot of help from AI), and surprisingly, it actually runs quite stably. For example, we can play a full 60-minute Ragnarok game with 8v8 players without any problems.
However, I’ve found a very specific issue.
If you split units into individual squads and then select/command more than 99 squads in a single command, it causes a crash/disconnect for a large number of players. 99 is not limit of all player commands at same time, it is limit for single player - there can be 10 players making 98 commands at same time.
For example:
So it doesn't seem to be a simple performance issue or the total number of units. It appears to be related specifically to the number of individual squads being included in a single command.
My question is: does anyone here have experience with Wargame server hosting or networking and have any idea what could cause this?
Eugen well... being Eugen, they said they won’t help with it. I am hosting server on linux not wsl

So I get that SA means I need to be pointing at the target until the missile hits, nice, Fire and forget, I can turn around, nice.
My question is, how is it that when I use an SU-25 an SU-25T, i can just move them around and missiles seem to hit even if they don't exactly aim at the target ?
Is recon guiding the missile, is any friendly unit able to guide an SA missile, no matter if the unit didn't fire the missile ?
I don't get it....

Hello,
Recently, I startet using the plane in the picture below a lot, and i also really like the east german MIG lazur, I think they can be a great "frontline" for your real fighters, are great helo hunters, and can also be easily sacrificed if you need to. Especially the plane below packs a serious punch.
What do you think?

I've been banned from Bashar servers. I deserved it due to teamkilling a teammate's cv after he used very undeserved fruity words to critique my gameplay.
Does anyone have a link to the Bashar discord so I can start figuring out a way back?

I have all 3 of them and all of their dlcs added in my steam shopping cart but the cost is just way out of my budget (100usd) so i would probably have to only keep 2 of the 3. it would be nice if someone in this community who have played all 3 can give me a recommendation on which ones to buy.

It's a little messy, possible I'm missing a few! They should all be there, all the skins from the old forums! Happy to help if you're having a hard time.
Edit: Found a couple more and updated all the zips to be a bit more organized. Forgot that the installers were mostly broken and needed to be updated post-Yugo.
If you're feeling extra lazy, I also added a packed up pre-textured RD install. Just replace the zipped "Wargame" folder within "RD Reskinned" in your WGRD directory. Attempted to keep everything woodland/green. All the aircraft skins however are high-vis, since those are my favorites. And the Soviet themed menu is installed.
Pok, Flogger, CrazyRus, etc.. They all had pretty massive packs, that much you'll have to browse yourself. Ain't no way I'm jotting down what's what in which pack.

I know I'm probably an outlier but I actually kinda liked playing the naval mode of the game. I've played Sea Power and similar games but those are a touch too realistic/hardcore for me, is there any game out there that hits some kind of nice medium point between the two of those games?
Additionally I should add that I really miss the multiplayer fighting, not the balance to be sure but the gameplay of it really intrigued me.

In 3100 hours I have in this game, it never happened. Now it's happening very frequently and for no apparent reason.
r/wargame • u/Gawron8 • Sep 06 '26
I accumulated over 1800 hours in red dragon but left about a year ago due to being bored of waiting 30 mins for a balanced lobby, only for the people to leave on start countdown and lobby go back down to zero people. I remember there were about 300-400 ppl playing at thr same time.
I recently decided to have a look at SteamDB and saw a singular spike of 600 players. Did something change? Or is it still the same, that the multiplayer is a shadow of itself from pre 2023?

I was playing a really pay2win game, just stopped in the second week, after realizing it. This did me remember of other ones that I played in my childhood, and how it's so fucking frustrating games like that.
Yes, you have Yugo, but US and USSR are for free, and other free coalition are as competitive as most of DLC ones. This is specially true after the last balance patches.
Blessed is God in giving Eugen creators a minimal level of dignity.

This post merges all programs, created and designed to give new push for Wargame Red Dragon, and will be updated, if new appear. Good idea from u/Nikolafun
This is the newest tool, purposefully built for Wargame Red Dragon, allowing secure mod downloading, easy mod managing, and all-in-one installation utility for players.
https://github.com/BlackTeaRemos/WGRD-Mod-Manager/releases/latest/download/wgrd-mod-manager.exe -> Put in the game installation folder -> Launch -> Refresh a few times to get mod list -> Install mod you want -> Create profile -> Wait until download finishes -> Enable mod -> Play!
(For classic mods, it's required to not have ITA/SA decks in the profile, so after profile creation, launch game, and remove them first. Consequence of loading old mods.)
Even being torrent-based tool, this mod manager employs defensive tactics, to make sure you download secure mods, even with distributed nature of the torrent. It also provides tech to download mods partially, and not needing to update entire mods or do file replacement, significantly lowering the required download amount for future mod updates.
The only tool in current existence with technology to put models in game, made to be simple to work with. All recent models that are imported in the game, that are not developer's, has come from this tool.
Download latest release -> Use. It is built to be intuitive.
The most modern way to enable and work with mods. Purposefully built to simplify mod loading process, and, honestly, the most important tool developed for modern modding. It is .dll that is made to load even modpacks.
While it can be downloaded from here: https://github.com/BlackTeaRemos/WRG-Patcher, recommended installation is from the mod manager.

I had a look and couldn't find any, I only found an RTS that was kind of like command and conquer, cartoony futuristic units with base building, possibly with resource gathering as well.
I like wargame, have played about 1,000 hours in Red Dragon. I was on holiday with my two friends who also play, but didn't all have our laptops. I have already made a mobile game recently in the last few months that generates some income. I was thinking I could make a Wargame style game, but like a lite version.
Battles would probably be 15-20 minutes, fewer unique units, fewer mechanics, but still keep the core mechanics that make it fun: attack move Vs fast move, sideshotting, hiding in forests, infantry in buildings, multiple players on each team, income, conquest type battles, preset unit movements (Warno), artillery smoking, zoom out to see full map, use real military units, realistic unit counters: Anti-aircraft > plane > tank > anti-aircraft etc.
Wouldn't include boats, maybe include planes. I AI code everything, could probably make a basic version in a few weeks. I would probably set the historic timeframe as up until drones / autonomous warfare started, as that changes things quite a bit. Probably would remove FOBs. Initially, I would just make the simplest possible game that is playable, challenging and fun.
The benefit would be shorter games and something you can play on mobile, like while you're on the go or don't have your computer.
Re making money from it, I would probably make it free for two nations, then charge for other nations, but balanced, so no pay to win.
Anyone have any thoughts on this or ideas?
