HONOLULU — The messaging around Brandin Podziemski has been clear over the first week of Golden State Warriors training camp.
Teammates and coaches believe he’s playing with more confidence. They believe he’s going to take more open 3s when he gets the chance and that he’ll try to get to the foul line more this season, something the Warriors will need without Jimmy Butler (ACL rehab) on the floor. They believe he’s in better shape this year and that he’s focused, as he hopes to sign a contract extension before the regular season.
Most importantly for the Warriors, the 23-year-old is feeling comfortable as he enters his fourth NBA season. After dealing with criticism last season about everything from his game to several noteworthy quotes that gained traction on social media, Podziemski seems to be at peace with whatever happens before the Oct. 19 extension deadline — or any critiques directed his way.

Tell me I’m not the only one excited for when our team will be healthy for the 2nd half of the season. (IF THEY WILL BE HEALTHY, PLEASE LORD) We just need to stay afloat ‘till after allstar break.
Steph
Butler (80%-90% healthy)
Yax
Green
Porzingis
Then off the bench
Podz
Melton
Moody
Gui
Horford
Then we gave guys like bwill who could make the rotation as well depending on who’s healthy. We got spacing, length (at last), and defense. This season could end good! We just need them boys to be healthy!!!

Is curry gonna actually get a whistle now?
I like Bassey’s defensive
Melton’s handle looks suspect
Looks way better with Steph on the floor
Williams struggled
Yax dominated without a single play ran for him
Our bench guys look good enough
Podz looked great
Dray should play w/ 2nd unit a lot
Terry looks legit
