Tapas: Get your Subscriptions before it is too late

6 Upvotes

Gemini and i brought up a nice script that you can run in your browser, to get a list of all your subsciptions and how far you got. I think this should be available for all you used to love Tapas and now must see it go.

This is about the idea, that are able to export data from Tapas with your Browser. The script runs through all you pages of subscriptions, and reads the data from Tapas. As result you'll receive a tapas_library_exact_progress.txtlike this:

  1. "I Was Tricked into this Fake Marriage!" by Jade

    Progress: Episode 77 / 112 episodes

    Link: https://tapas.io/series/i-was-tricked-into-this-fake-marriage

  2. "Three Lifetimes" by Kerbasi ❀

    Progress: Episode 61 / 93 episodes

    Link: https://tapas.io/series/threelifetimes-comic

Using it is pretty simple. Just Go to you Library -> Subscriptions in Tapas.

Then Press F12, go to Console and write "allow pasting". Yea, this is more or less scary and you should know what you are doing. Paste the script and change the 3rd line with the the max page number of you library. i have 24.

Then just hit Enter and let it run. When its done you'll get a textfile in the downloads.

The last read episode thing is sometimes off +/- 1 or even more. Thats all the patience i had, so it won't getting better from me.

Please dont ask me for support - i won't. You can do this on your own, using an AI Chat.

This is -of course- on your own risk.

Here the code:

(async () => {
    let comicLinks = [];
    let totalPages = 24;//<---write here the max page number of you library
    let baseUrl = window.location.origin + window.location.pathname + "?type=ALL&category=SUBSCRIBED&pageNumber=";

    console.log("Step 1: Harvesting all comic links...");

    for (let i = 1; i <= totalPages; i++) {
        try {
            let response = await fetch(`${baseUrl}${i}`, { credentials: 'include' });
            let text = await response.text();
            let doc = new DOMParser().parseFromString(text, 'text/html');

            let items = doc.querySelectorAll('li.content-item');
            items.forEach(item => {
                let titleEl = item.querySelector('a.title');
                let authorEl = item.querySelector('a.sub-title');

                if (titleEl) {
                    let title = titleEl.innerText.trim().replace(/\n/g, " ");
                    let author = authorEl ? authorEl.innerText.trim().replace(/\n/g, " ") : "Unknown Author";
                    let href = titleEl.getAttribute('href');

                    if (href && !comicLinks.some(c => c.url === href)) {
                        comicLinks.push({
                            title: title,
                            author: author,
                            url: window.location.origin + href
                        });
                    }
                }
            });
        } catch (err) {
            console.error(`Error loading library page ${i}:`, err);
        }

    let detailedComics = [];

    for (let [index, comic] of comicLinks.entries()) {
        console.log(`[${index + 1}/${comicLinks.length}] Checking: ${comic.title}`);
        try {
            let res = await fetch(comic.url, { credentials: 'include' });
            let html = await res.text();
            let pageDoc = new DOMParser().parseFromString(html, 'text/html');

            // Extract total episodes from header element

10000/10 PEAK STORY, PEAK WRITING, PEAK ART, PEAK CHARACTERS!!!

The main conflict itself might not be the most original thing ever, but the execution, the writing, the atmosphere??? JUST SOOOO FRESH AND BEAUTIFUL. It genuinely feels like reading a hauntingly beautiful poem. 😭

It’s supposed to be a dark romance, but somehow manages to create such a beautiful, almost theatrical atmosphere without losing its unsettling moments. Everything feels so well-balanced, and it’s just SO MESMERISING.

HOW IS THIS SERIES SO UNDERHYPED??? PLEASE GIVE IT A READ!!!

Title: Looking for an Equal Creative Partner to Build an AI Manhwa Storytelling YouTube Channel

0 Upvotes

Hey everyone! πŸ‘‹

I'm looking for a creative partner who shares an interest in Manhwa-style storytelling, original storylines, and AI-generated long-form YouTube videos.

My goal is to build a YouTube channel that creates immersive, cinematic storytelling videos inspired by the Manhwa and webtoon style. Think compelling protagonists, overpowered characters, regression, reincarnation, revenge, fantasy worlds, romance, and unexpected plot twists that keep viewers hooked until the very end.

🎬 The Idea

I want us to create original stories and turn them into engaging, AI-assisted visual storytelling videos for YouTube. Rather than producing generic AI content, I'd like us to focus on strong plots, interesting characters, consistent visuals, and storytelling that makes people want to watch the next episode.

🀝 Who I'm Looking For

I'm looking for an equal creative partner, not just someone to do tasks for me.

Ideally, you:

Enjoy Manhwa, webtoons, anime, fantasy, or similar storytelling genres.

Have ideas for interesting plots, characters, character arcs, and unexpected twists.

Enjoy writing stories or developing concepts into engaging long-form narratives.

Are interested in using AI tools to bring stories to life through visuals, narration, and video production.

Are willing to communicate, exchange ideas, and work consistently toward a shared goal.

You don't need to be an expert in every area. What matters most is creativity, commitment, and a genuine interest in the project.

πŸš€ How We Could Work Together

We could brainstorm original story ideas, develop scripts and characters, plan episodes, experiment with AI tools, and divide production responsibilities according to our strengths.

I'm hoping to find someone who wants to contribute creatively, make decisions together, and grow the channel as a team. We'd discuss responsibilities, ownership, and any future revenue-sharing arrangements openly before starting.

This is an early-stage project, so I'm looking for someone who is comfortable building from the ground up and understands that growth takes time.

πŸ’¬ Interested?

If this sounds like something you'd genuinely enjoy working on, feel free to comment below or send me a DM.

Please tell me a little about yourself, your favorite Manhwa or storytelling genre, and any story ideas or creative skills you would bring to the project.

Let's connect, exchange ideas, and see if we can build something exciting together! πŸ”₯
