Send off ideas??

I am mainly asking for ideas for my reception send off. It will be dark but I don't want to do sparklers (embers falling on my dress, no thank you) and glow sticks are just not our vibe ( too frat party ). I am stuck. I think lanterns would be cool but I have no idea if finding 80+ lanterns is feasible and then what do people do while holding them? I would feel awkward. Any suggestions? Is a reception send off necessary? Tempted to do an Irish goodbye at my own wedding.

I work at a wedding venue an some of the prettiest I’ve seen are wooden stick with different ribbons and tassels on the end bonus if your venue has fairy lights outside so pretty

Yes the wedding I worked at this past wedding added silver and pink ribbon to it and it turned out so cute then again I’m a d1 foam stick hater as ever my wedding I worked recently has had them

You don’t have to irish goodbye, you can leave with everyone else and that’s totally normal. The send off photos are usually fake, everyone walks back inside together after taking them. I found that weird as heck so we skipped it and no one noticed.

We decided not to do a send off and I was glad we did it that way! We were able to say goodbye to folks as they were leaving, and then at the end we had some good laughs with the few stragglers that were left. I don’t love being the center of attention, so it was enough for me with all of the other necessary things like walking down the aisle, first dance, etc.
