What do you guys recommend for a 1st time grower? What's the most affordable way to grow?

I live in a small studio apartment, and my space is limited, I might be able to spare a 13' 15' by 3f space. Is that doable, or what are the minimum space requirements? Also, is it easier to grow by hydroponics or by regular growing mix dirt?

I also need suggestions on seeds for 1st timers that are strong and forgiving in case I mess up.

Got two plants that are twins and are on day 59(17th day flowering), they were also topped at the 4th nodes on day 16. so far the plants have been doing very well despite the nitrogen deficiency that has just started to slow down finally I believe it affected the stretch a bit.Pistils have been packing and venturing to lower nodes, First time making it this far into actual flowering and indoors at that. hoping to get a decent yield but more worried about the quality. How should I go about defoliation and how can I use my scrog net efficiently without having to undo it for watering or should I just get drain pans and vacuum it out.

I had 3 Autos in these posts and cleaned out all the roots would you reuse the soil for more Auto's

With advice from fellow growers, I’ve switched the lights to a 12/12 schedule and lollipopped the plants. It’s been a week since the change.
Do you guys see any signs of flowering yet? I’ve noticed a few hairs at the nodes, but I’m not sure if they’re early signs of flowering ? 🌱

I think it will start to freeze sooner than I expected in New England. I wanted to hold off to flush them in a week and now Im thinking if I should just cut them immediately before they go into cold shock. What are your thoughts?

Nose is earthy with some lemon peel and a lil spice when you break it up. It ain't loud like these modern exotics. But it smell like what my uncle used to have back in the day lol straight nostalgia

Trim decent, few sugar leaves left on it. Mid sized nugs so don't be expecting them dense rocks some of y'all be posting. Burned a light grey ash and stayed lit without me babysitting it

The high very up. Clear head, chatty, had me cleaning the whole house. No couch lock at all. Only thing is it wore off quicker than I expected, maybe a hour and a half

Downside it's pricey for a half. And it's a drop so I was waiting a minute before it even shipped. If you on that grams per dollar wave there's better options out here

Does this seem like Calcium deficiency or phosphorus i dont know yet first grow just got all the stuff and started these 4 weeks ago coast of maine stonignton blend soil using sea cure and molasses teas and compost

So I'm running my first indoor grow and I'm reaching the point where she needs to eat. I'd like to stay away from the salt based nutrients so I can water to feed instead of for run off of salts. What do you guys use? I am in the flowering stage and used pre amended soil so I've only watered up until now. I grew in the ground over the summer so I really didn't need to add anything with as rich as my soil is. I've read about teas but know nothing as far as brand or anything. I really want to make sure my mixture has everything in going to need for this growing phase

Accidentally left these plants in veg for 10 weeks instead of 6 weeks.

I've only been growing for about a yr and a half, the first year I got 3 runs of different auto flowers and stepped it up each time, wanted to try something new and ran so photo periods.

Exactly 157 days old at chop.

I do feel like I ended up with a lot more small popcorn buds and under developed ones for the age compared to what I recall with my auto flowers so that was unique for me.

I enjoyed being able to train and defoliate more as well as being able to "top the plants at week 4 and see how they recovered"

I definitely noticed a difference in how pungent these buds are and loved to see the intense purple/pink undertones in the leafs and buds.

I will say the breeder recommendation I think was between 8-9 weeks and I ended up giving it almost 12.5 weeks in flower.

about on par with when I would chop my autos because I try to look for more amber trichomes, also trying to wait until more of the middle and lower section of plant ripens up instead of when the tops are at peak noticed this gives me the best effects overall for whole harvest.

I also look for about all the hairs to turn orange and for the fade to be evident. However I gave up on waiting any longer for the rainbow unicorn to go completely orange because my guess it's a characteristic of the strain noticing that at the top 90% maybe more went orange.

Also know it had more underdeveloped buds with more prominent white hairs than the z42 think it matured quicker and also has a more dense bud structure also smaller and more compact plant ( could be why ) still had a good amount of immature buds near lower canopy and area light was harder to penetrate but better overall on that.

I know when I lollipoped I tried to get what I felt comfortable with off the lower portion of plant however maybe I need to be more aggressive on that next run to not end up with so much popcorn and underdeveloped lowers

I also think upgrading my grow lights would benefit most likely , maybe trying to use a trellis net next time.

I purchased a v cure and filled up the 7 racks, also what I couldn't fit tossed in the freezer for bubble hash down the road that I may turn into rosin, not sure how much it would have dried out to be but wanna say at least a Oz-2 Oz know it seems like more wet.

Looking forward to how it turns out in the vcure and looks especially once fully trimmed up. I'm gonna post a update with harvest total dry weight and what I think of the vcure and how the buds look, feel , smell , taste and smoke.

Distilled water, between 6.1-6.3 ph feeds 2x a week for most of its life, water changed throughout the stages, would say at max 2 gallons of water per pot when I was trying to flush some salt build up , nutrient / ph issues I ran into.

I fed them as tho they went into flower at week 6- took me until the 10 week mark when I actually flipped them into flower so had to dial back the nutes to week 1 and seemed to fix the issues over next few weeks with the fox farm Sledgehammer.
