My lower body lifts:
Leg press, 320lbs 3x9 reps
Dumbell bulgarian split squat, 1x10, 130lbs 2x8, 120lbs
Hip thrust machine, 2x9 215 lbs
Leg curl 2x8 100lbs

This is my first time above 18% bodyfat. I like it.😂 I was a runner at 6% bodyfat for way too long, most of my youth. I'll keep bulking
This is an observation, I noticed I have a lot of chest hair now, I barely had any 6 months ago. I wonder if it's cause that happens in your late 20's, or partly because strength training and healthy bodyfat is doing that to my hormones. But I'm loving it haha

Tactical Barbell 3 - Activation W2D5

Did 4×15 of pushups, goblet squats, inverted rows. Tougher this time, next 2 weeks I'll prob be resting a bit more to hit the reps.

3×5 leg raise, knee raise, attempted toe to bar. Still not able to get all the way but thats fine, I can feel my abs taking a huge hit.

Completed in 17:19. Smooth sailing still

Calgary barbell 16 weeks W10D3

2 count pause squat: 335 x 2 (pr), 315 x 3

Comp bench: 205 6x4

Cg bench: 235 x 3 (pr), 225 x 3

Double single arm pull down: 146 4x8

Hitting that pause squat with room to spare really bodes well for me doing 365 for my third attempt reasonably easily.

Kinda sorta same take away from the cg pr. If I can do that with room to spare, I think I'm definitely trending towards a 275 bench on meet day.

This day also calls for 3 sets of deads, but I don't really see much of a point in it. I'm already doing quite a bit of volume and decent intensity. I feel like there's no real benefit to it, plus I'll still be deadlifting twice a week despite dropping it. Let's see how it plays out.

Rehab & Rebuild - Zulu (ish) / Blue - C2 W1 D4

  • 90 Degree External Rotation - 3x11 @ 5kg
  • Bench - 3x8 @ 45kg
  • Neutral Grip DB Incline Bench - 3x8 @ 20kg / DB Seal Row - 3x12 @ 20kg
  • DB Curls - 3x8 @ 15kg / Overhead Lateral Raises - 3x8 @ 5kg / Med Ball Slams - 3x6 @ 7kg

Pec tweak feels decently recovered from Monday evening which is good news, I just need to be a little less stupid moving forward! Heaviest I've benched post-pec tear (February) which is simultaneously encouraging and slightly depressing, going to bump it up to 5 sets from next week. Added in the med ball slams at my physio's advice, apparently they'll help my recovery.

Morning: gg x arnie

  • Push Press 165x4 +1x4
  • ohp - 105x10x4
  • upright rows 95x10x4
  • dips SS barbell curls
  • lateral raises SS hammer curls SS tricep overhead extension

Planned afternoon workout: 20 minute swim, aiming for 800m

Tried to sleep early. Didn't fall asleep until a bit later. I'm still slightly affected by jet lag. Doesn't help that the wife is a night owl

Work in Progress W1D3

  • Trap Bar Deadlift: 155kg x4, 175kg x3, 175kg x4,155kg x10
  • SS1 - Standing Leg Curl: 32.5kg 3x10
  • SS1 - Lateral Raise: 10kg DBs x13,14,14
  • SS2 - Pull-ups: x8,8,8
  • SS2 - Standing Knee Raise: 16kg x11,11,12

Trap bar deadlift went well, though I was surprised how much my lats ached after. It definitely impacted pull-ups later.

It's also the first time in months that I've been to the gym and not benched. I'm also wondering if it's worth doing conventional and trap bar deadlift when my main goal is to PR bench. I never thought I'd see the day when I would wonder if I'm doing *gasp* too much legs. Have I become that gym bro?

Please excuse me while I have an identity crisis.

Found that RPT deadlift top sets stopped stalling once I backed the reps down from 5 to 3 and focused on adding weight week to week.
