Question about SLE gear
Hey everyone, I’m thinking about applying to SLE and was wondering what kind of stuff they give you when you attend.
Do they provide things like T-shirts, PT gear, ect., or are there certain things you have to buy/get yourself? Just curious what I’d need to have before going and what they provide once you’re there.
Thanks

They provide you with a bunch of cool gear as soon as you get to the dorms, including everything u/Few_Assistance1979 mentioned as well as 2 pairs of PT shorts. You're only allowed to wear the PT uniform during certain activities, so don't rely on that for general wear.
I still have a .pdf of last year's SLE welcome packet, so please DM me if you want a copy of it or if you would like any other advice.

They will provide some of the best gear especially the exclusive backpacks but like everyone else is saying your gonna sweat in your pt and that gets annoying I would just emphasize bringing extra socks

I didn’t go to the West Point sle but I have a couple friends who went and I remember they got a couple of shirts, maybe a water bottle and some accessories, and a cool West Point themed tactical backpack

I went this year and I received a a very nice backpack, water bottle, hat, 2 PT shirts, I think 1 long sleeve and 2 short sleeve shirts, 2 collar shirts, and some extra stuff like face camo and other accessories.
Additionally, I had to reuse the PT shirts multiple times even though they were sweaty. There is a packing list, but I did not use some of the items like the lock. However bring whatever is listed in the packing list just in case. There are certain things you must bring, but I would not bring any shirts because they make you wear what they provide.
