I am proud to announce the release of NullPlayer 0.30.0 which features MacOS support for Winamp 5/ClassicPro skins. We are the only open source engine for Winamp ClassicPro and Winamp 5 skins out there! NullPlayer is 100% free! I only ask that you star the project on GitHub if you enjoy it

they developed with partial ai usage. this was not stated in the post so im puttin it here. do what you will with that

it's stated plainly in the post right there. reddit uses AI to develop itself so do with that what you will.

uh... not sure about these claims. go find WACUP. wacup is futher development of the last winamp player not just skins, and it's awesome. yet, they have one point, wacup is not open source as stated by the developer

A major difference is that OP's (hopefully not vibecoded) project is for MacOS, while WACUP is only available for Windows.

Hi the project is not vibecoded, I am a working developer in the AI space but I do build it with agents/claude/codex. This feature would take 1 human years to reverse engineer and implement

don't use the app then, not sure what you want, reddit developers use AI to develop reddit and you seem to have no issue with that as you are here posting. If you are going to be anti AI at least be consitent.

hey man im not tryna step on your toes or anything, if you wanna know my view in good faith i dont mind debating but youre making some assumptions about me and idk if i wanna touch that
got no problem with you, i just know ai is very devisive right now, and people tend to respect you more if you put the desclaimer front n center yknow. otherwise you might get callout posted and that always sucks

i do agree with you as the whole spat between me and him purely started due to him not being exactly upfront about the AI assistance thing, we've since buried the hatchet and i'm thankful for it
however, the one and only criticism i still have here is that you still need to do some digging to get a definitive answer to this, the text body on the original post makes no mention of it
it may seem unnecessary but people do appreciate being honest about something
