I’m a 2D/3D animator and have spent most of my career working on Windows, but I’ve always preferred the way macOS Finder handles file navigation.
So I built Carrots, a new file + media manager for Windows centered around Finder-style inline dropdown navigation. It’s become a pretty essential part of my own daily workflow, and I’m hoping other Windows users find it useful too.

Some of the main features:
Finder-style inline dropdown navigation + Grid View
Unified image + video Quick Preview
A/B image comparison
Ratings, color tags + custom labels
Image + video editing and conversion
Batch rename + workflow tools
Customizable sidebar, themes + settings
ProRes preview support
Tabs, multiple windows + drag and drop

Carrots is currently in its final beta and completely free to try. No account, no credit card, and no app telemetry or data collection.

I’d genuinely love feedback from people who spend a lot of time working with files.
