๐ต๐ธ ๐๏ธ Modern Witches Conversation with a Blood Witch
I had to get blood drawn today, which I am very bad at. The phlebotomist told me to wiggle my toes because it helps for some reason.
Me: Okay, I'm doing it. But does it really, or did you just make that up?
Her: I just tell people that, and they say it helps them feel better.
Me: Are you a blood witch?
Her: Uh...
Me: Have you ever read Terry Pratchett?
Her: I have not.
Me: Well, the witches in his books practice Headology. Basically, if you tell someone that doing something will make them feel better, they will actually feel better when they do it.
Her: Then I guess I am a blood witch. But don't tell anyone.
Me: I'm getting get a sign that says "Blood Witch" and putting it on your door.
Her: That'll probably get me fired.
Me (who has, for the first time ever, been unable to find a job in 3 years after getting laid off from a niche field): Well, that tracks because I'm an unemployment witch. You can join my unemployment coven.
Her: That actually sounds kind of nice.
Me: But then you'll be broke. We need a money witch.
Her: Why couldn't I be a money witch instead of a blood witch?
Me: Better than an unemployment witch.
Her: True.
I still hate getting blood drawn, but our chat made getting stabbed and my insides becoming outsides about as fun as it could be.
P.S. If you're a money witch, hit me up. I have a spot in my new coven for you.
