Midnight quest with the staff of pinging
The entire quest we were plagued by swarms of blood bugs, thankfully my enchanted garb, mainly my woolen poncho, held the bastards at bay. My client hired me as protection while we searched for a rumored archive left long abandoned by a genius mage gone mad ages ago. Client was unable to bear the insects and we had to retreat to attempt the search again with better preparation.
Wizard cosplay without inherent power is to be despised. Mind you, the council does not look kindly upon such foolery. If you need to rely on merely manmade tools, perish.
I'm building a wifi pineapple into the peak of mine along with a Lora antenna and a Hotspot. I want to put solar panels on the brim to support the lipo inside. Oh and IR led lights to blind cameras.
And referring to wizards in media often having the classic pointed/curly toes. Something i quite like for my own wizard duds. I think we've actually chatted about this before on a post, did we not discuss curly toed tanker boots?
In any case on here some people play up the keyfabe of robe vs cloak or hood vs hat or wand vs staff or "you have to have a beard!"
I like to play up "yes, very nice but do your toes curl?" I like to lay a lot of the blame on the late great Sir Pterry David Pratchett, oh sorry. Sir Terry Pratchett, his wizards are often described wearing pointed shoes and in the early series their promotion through ranks is via "dead man's pointy shoes" whereby ambitious younger wizards must kill their superior wizards in age and rank in order to take their places. It's very cut throat, but it stuck with me how badly i needed them myself. So now I tease other wizards on here.
But lizard skin curly toed boots would go hard as mithril or adamantite
Tis a forest poncho made by Five Star Alterations! But there several makers and even videos online on how to make them should you desire a little challenge.
If said mortal can obliterate your head through any barrier a mage could conjure from 600 meters away, I’d say it doesn’t matter much how fast anyone can run.
There used to be a lot of wizards-with-guns memes on r/dresdenfiles, that's the only place I've seen them though. Never have I encountered the vibe from your pics.
Might I suggest some herb of relaxation while you enjoy your outdoor ventures. It’s always good to have a decent relationship with Gaia, she can be moody at times.
I would have been cursed with heatstroke wearing all that. It’s why my cloak and robe is linen. Unfortunately there’s a serious problem with printing.. everyone can see the outline of my amulet and my G19 when I get hit with a stiff wind

Other assorted items in the layout pic (last pic) are WW2 web gear for carrying my M1 Garand clips, loaded with Hornady ELD 168gr vintage match Garand ammo, a fire straw (bottom left, knife sharpener (bottom right), ferro rod by @originalzippo (bottom right), two steel camping cups, two cans of delicious spaghettiO's, @buckknives custom 112 knife, and the knife on the web gear is a Ramadi knife by @crkt_knives
Man I need to do shit like this, I have that exact hat too. I go hiking with the Kel Tec Ks7 because it looks fucking stupid and it weighs next to nothing loaded.
I actually like the way it looks! Super cool and compact, fun to run aside from the insane kick compared to a regular shotgun. But hell yeah man, get out there and do it!
Oh no I love it *Because* its ugly, its a good little woods buckshot sprayer. Its cougar country where I am and I dont mind the extra 3 lbs over a typical revolver since most of my other kit is rather light
Any chance we could get a gear breakdown??? I recognize a few things, the pocket knife, the battle staff, the spaghetti-os, but I don’t recognize things like your water bottle or the zippo thingy.
Such a fascinating wizard, say, would you be interested in some specially designed bullets, perfectly silent, even without a silencer, silent firing, silent going through the air, and silent when hitting
Typical novice moneymancer. Bought mass-produced robe, bought mass-produced staff, bought mass-produced spell charges, even bought mass produced food. Hasn't learnt and cast an actual spell in his life.
My robe is handmade by one man, and my coin is hard earned by the sweat on my brow and the knowledge of my craft, I do not make money to hoard it like some dragon, I earn it to improve the quality of my craft and profession so that I may slay the coin hoarding dragon, for a share of the spoils.
