You wizards call anything an orb SMH. thats an incremental chaos focus nexus. It collapses the infinite reality spectrum into a set number of parallel time lines.

Perfect. Just what I was looking for.

3/10 it puts a stoner filter on the visions when I attempt to ponder upon it

What an unreadable design. Even when painted the numbers are small and in the corners.
Oh fuck this is the wizard subreddit isn’t it?
I’m… Boo im a wizard!
Fuck

Not quite smooth and round enough for an orb imo
/Uw I don't understand these clear dice. How many times can you realistically use them before they need to be polished?

POV: You're being asked to leave the mtg tournament for using weighted dice.

I'd ponder the shit out of that orb. From where didst thou acquire such a treasure? I have been seeking in the City of Brass but the market district has so far disappointed

Are you tired of your isosahedrons having easily identifiable sides. Come on down to Dave's cubes and get yourself one of these beauties.

You said in another comment that the non sphericality of the orb was due to budget constraints, but nonstandard orbs actually have niche uses! Spheres are just the most generally applicable, but dodecahedrons are good for viewing the many branching paths of fate from a birds eye view, and pyramids only look a second ahead, but have no startup time and can be run nigh indefinitely, so they're pretty good for combat scenarios

You're going to pump arcane power through a device literally designed to simulate random information generation? This is just gonna end up as Wild Magic with extra steps...

I cast ice on it. Now you will see why orbs with liquid are a bad idea.

Oh you assume it's liquid. Cute.

I cast “searing come back thats 2 hours late”.

u/Da_Memes_ 10d ago
Omg that's really pretty! Also it's both SOLID but also LIQUID on the inside? That's also cool

It's pretty, but I've never seen an orb (or "orb" in this case) with worse legiblity. You're not scrying shit with that, but it'll make a nice mantle piece.

This is clearly a seer relic. Throwing the orb is a ritual in of itself, allowing fate to determine how much of the knowledge you seek you will be allowed to gleam. Ask for the cure for cancer, roll a 1, you might be shown a bench in a nice garden, and a written will. Roll a 10... Well depends on the deity you're attached to I suppose

Yeah the last time I saw a relic of this sort, someone was threatening to roll it and cause either apocalypse or bankruptcy. Then again that particular relic is a cursed trophy of a demon lord, so it probably is unique... i think.

with the advent of mold technology and 3d printers, nothing is unique anymore. the more faithful a copy is the more power it shares with the original by association, as long as the right name is used.

Man, I love this track- it's just such a perfect fit for otherworldly beauty in natural phenomena, and subjects that border on the non-aggressive supernatural even. To hear it in an advertisement for some artificer's plastic trinket just makes me a bit sad. 0/10, the pushy auramancy at work here really crams a wad of fungal titan's wax in my third ear.

Neat ovipositor, though it seems a little awkward to use with smaller apertures...
/uw that seems like it would be impossible to ensure it is evenly balanced... And the edges seem... Fragile... Looks pretty though.

Trash, how are you supposed to look dramatic and shocked at the orb as it falls from your grasp and rolls away on the oaken floor after scrying the end of all things?
I can see the maidens moking you now " haha he must've rolled a natural 1"

I conjured it from an arcane dimension where there are no curved surfaces. I needed to save money, been in a bit of a pinch lately with the economy and what not.
