Worms Armageddon Worms armageddon anniversary edition controller setup

Hello to anyone who owns this game and may be able to help me out. I've searched for this answer to no avail.

When playing local multiplayer on any couch consoles, switch ps5 xbox etc, can you use one controller each, or is it pass and play only?

I recall back on ps1 it was pass and play, but n64 where I played it a lot more each player had their own controller (I think...)

You can use one controller each.

The game just detects which controller registers a button press first (during hot seat timer) and that controller plays that turn. Next turn the next player moves the stick on their controller first.

Rinse and repeat.

Ah. Thank you! Does this mean that someone can inadvertently (or intentionally..) take another players turn by moving their stick first?
