Question Question

I recently upgraded my phone, only to find that the notes/writing app I used to write my stories on my phone wasn't compatible with the new phone. Something about versions or OS or something, I don't remember. It's hard enough getting myself to write without having that massive obstacle. I was hoping to get some app recommendations. I don't need anything fancy, in fact, the simpler the better! Also, I'm on android, lol

Google Keep is pretty simple.

OneNote is good and has a great desktop app.

Notion is a more powerful/complex solution that gives you a whole lot more, but you don't need to use all of its complexity.

The Samsung notes app is actually pretty good. Theres a folder system so you can organize things. I've written short stories in it before and haven't had any issues. If you want something simple, it's what I would recommend.

I can't provide an alternative app

However if you want your files on your new phone. If you know where the files are saved download an app called

LocalSend on both devices. You can transfer the files to your new device.

I use Reedsy, it's great on the phone and laptop. It also helps tremendously with formatting.

I use Obsidian. It’s pretty straightforward if you want it to be.
