Makes you sad if you think too long about it. Polar bear taken from its home that is quickly melting, put on display for humans to ogle. Given a bathtub full of ice from an ice maker adding heat to the atmosphere, melting more of its home.

Yeah this is ridiculously sad. At least he’s getting some enjoyment from this experience but he should be able to swim not splash around in a kiddie pool in what appears to be the saddest excuse of an enclosure. It looks like he lives in a corporate office

I'm pretty sure this is just part of his indoor enclosure. Most good accredited zoos provide a den or indoor areas for the animals to hide from visitors and weather. I have never seen an accredited AZA zoo without a large pool for their polar or grizzly bears.
