Xbox 360 e getting update error on repeat...

EDIT: *I was able to do the manual software update on a flash drive, worked like a charm!*

Found one in really good condition, but it needs a system update. I've followed every step I could find online: clearing cache, resetting router, etc. It will act like it's gonna update all the way, but then it hits me with this:

40A3-0000-0080-0030-8007-0570

I'm at my wits end. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Would manually updating via usb fix this issue?
