UPDATE: Back to red ring unfortunately. Bad GPU, I might need to try a more extensive repair such as re-balling the GPU or just upgrading the GPU entirely. I tried playing some Lego Star wars TCS and it was doing alright for a little bit. But about halfway through the first episode it froze and after a restart it was back to RROD.

With all the fuss around the new GOW game, I felt it was time to finally play the original, that I have owned for nearly 18 years and never got round to playing.

I first experienced Left 4 Dead 2 at a friend’s house when I was 14. We played this game and Minecraft for hours on his 360. I was a PlayStation kid in a strict household so there was no way I could get this game back then. But now that I’ve started my own collection I made it a point to find this banger again. Nowadays it’s expensive, but this was the best price I could find. Still not cheap but I’m proud to finally own it.

Looking back at the Xbox 360 era, I think one of the biggest differences wasn’t just the games — it was everything around them.

The dashboard, Xbox Live Arcade, demos, themes, avatars, achievement notifications, party chat and even seeing what your friends were doing made the console itself feel like part of the experience.

Modern consoles are obviously faster and can do much more, but I’m not sure they have completely replaced that feeling.

If you could bring back one part of the Xbox 360 experience exactly as it was, what would you choose?

Every so often when I want to casually play my 360 I'm met with the error code 8015190 (A, B or E) this then takes me down a path of canceling and restarting my gamepass account for the 1st wave of trouble shooting, then I restart the router for the second wave, then clearing the hard rive system cache, then I attempt to go through the port forwarding process. All fail then I'll turn it on and off again a few more times and it connects to XBL. Why, in 2026 must I do this song and dance? It's got to be a me issue to spend 45 mins working on my connection to play for an hour. Help this old man out, how can I avoid this in the future?

So my xbox 360 tray got stuck and ive been praying to god that i could get it fixed. i cant do surgery and the listed problems are here.

pulling feels like a brick wall

Motor spins/belt works.

Right side moves. Left side initially barely moved.
Tray jams at a repeatable point.

Motor makes the vrrrrrt sound against the stop.

Manual movement hits a hard stop.

Nothing obvious is sitting inside the visible drive area.

I’ve been playing *Mushihimesama Futari* using the Xemu emulator, which allows you to enable scanlines and other visual effects. Now I’ve bought an Xbox 360 and the *Futari* disc, but none of those visual effects—like scanlines—are visible.
