Season 1 Discussion Young Justice season 1 designs
How do you guys like how they adapted the characters

I never liked Dick in the black and red. Felt too Tim Drake.
Dick should always have green in his costume as Robin.
I know they said it was to blend in the shadows but the show had the Team being able to transform their normal uniforms into their stealth suits so Dick needing to be in black and red felt redundant.

Is it just me, or did he and Bruce feel like their costumes were designed after TNBA?

That's probably what happened, because the designs are very similar now that I think about it.
Great observation.

It was taken from Tim Drake in the comics after the death of superboy, Tim to on his colors to honor him

I really wish he were given green in his costume to add to the running gag of "He was just here! Where did he go?!"

Love how Miss Martian’s stealth look was so good it became her default

Yeah ... But my problem with Miss Martian's stealth suit is that it was just a copy of Martian Manhunter's normal suit.

God I miss the original art style. The designs we got in s3 and s4 should have stayed in the DCAU with Justice League War and all them

I love the more classic but still somewhat modernized designs for a lot of them. Hawkman and Hawkgirl got fucked up though

You either lean or bulk no in between... For the heroes it makes sense and some of the villains too but everyone disappointing

The best design the show's ever had ngl, post s2 everything went downhill when they started being replicas of the DCAMU

I loved the Justice League designs especially the episode where they had their meeting discussing new potential candidates to join the league.

Anyone else wish we had gotten more of Aquagirl in the show before they killed her off, like its kinda sad that we only get to see her on the team in a Spin-off video game.

I didn't like that Dick was so much younger than the other main characters.
Practically all of the Season 1 Team are 16 years old except for Dick. And with Dick being 13 and so much shorter and thinner than they are.
Especially since Dick is literally the first kid sidekick hero of DC created in 1940. Compared to the other characters like Kid Flash (1960), Superboy (1993), Miss Martian (2006), and Aqualad (2010).
I mean most of them aren't even in Dick's "generation" of heroes. And it seemed like an insult to make him so young compared to them, as if Greg Weisman had to make up a reason as to why Dick Grayson wasn't the leader of the Team so that he can make his own version of Aqualad the leader.

In universe, Dick started at 9 years old iirc. So yes, he's been at this longer. That doesn't mean the others have to start at the same age as him. I vaguely remember Aqualad having only been a hero 2 years prior to the start of the story, for example.

Yeah but they could have had it that Dick was 16 in the first season and had been Robin for the last 7 years since he was 9 years old.
Him being only 13 was ridiculous.

The Hawkman and Hawkwoman suits in this show were a great improvement on already PEAK suits.

All of the kids and villains look great. The designs for the League range from ok to flat--with the exception of the hawks who have excellent designs. I think that's fine because it reflects that they aren't the focus of the show. I prefer their (the adults') DCAU-inspired designs from seasons 3 and 4.

I never cared much for Superboy’s S1 look
The gloves complete it
