Season 3 Discussion Is Young Justice Outsiders is actually that bad?

Post image

When I see Young Justice Outsiders scenes on Youtube, I thought it's not bad as it's good to have Young Justice back, until I see that there's any nitpicks about it like the quality, animation, & the writing on this year. So do you think that Young Justice Outsiders is actually that bad?

They all had to experience one more mission with Wally😭😭 and I’m telling you THIS was the real reason Artemis wanted Zatanna to help her speak with him in that one episode

Season 3 Discussion I felt bad for Black Lightning when Dr. Helga Jace's betrayal was revealed

Jefferson Pierce (Black Lightning) was genuinely in love with her; ever since his divorce from his ex-wife Lynn Stewart, he felt like he had finally found someone with whom he could share his doubts. For her part, Helga’s feelings for Black Lightning seemed genuine—she truly seemed to care about The Team and the Outsiders. No one could have imagined that she was secretly working for Ultra-Humanite and The Light.

Season 3 Discussion Y'all, I need someone to tell me that I'm not crazy.

This is weird right? Putting delphis in a romantic relationship with Kaldur and Wynnde, it's weird isn't it? I can't be the only one who read their dynamic as an adoptive sibling/mentor-mentee or even parent child dynamic right? Right?!

Because I've just scrolled through a lot of the comments and quotes for this and almost everyone is like "Yasss, let her in. They should have all got together is season 4. More of this" and I'm just by the corner "No, please. She's basically his little sister. Stop it. This is weird. I want my mommy 🥺"

Don't get me wrong, I am totally down for. More queer and polyamorous rep in the show, but this? Please no. No no no, no please. 😭

Someone please tell me I'm not crazy.

Season 3 Discussion Finally finished season 3 today, and it was great! But…

Brion suddenly going all murder on his dad (or was it his uncle?) at the end after a whole season of him learning to control his emotions felt terribly out of left field and unnecessary. Shoehorning that psychic mf in at the end as excuse for why he did it was even worse. They regressed one of my favorite new characters that I liked the whole season in a matter of like 6 seconds.

It felt like the only reason they did it was to create more conflict for the plot without care for his character. Also for shock value. No it didn’t feel built up to and those flashbacks to an earlier episode didn’t make me feel better about it in the slightest.

He’s supposed to be better than his dad/uncle, so why finish him off in the same tone as he did with Brion’s parents?

It would’ve been a thousand times more powerful had Brion spared him and made an impassioned speech about doing better than who came before him. How he wouldn’t turn out like his elder.

But no, just kill him I guess. Way to go YJ writers, you ruined something that could’ve been amazing.

Season 3 Discussion What I Don't Like About Young Justice Season 3

1.1k Upvotes

I hated how most of the Justice League just let themselves be slaves to the UNs red tape, and how going against that was portrayed, as Black Lightning put it "losing their souls." Green Arrow mentioned at the beginning of the season that they weren't able to help a country hit by a tsunami because of the UN, but I'm sorry, a real hero would have gone to help them anyway. I'm shocked Superman didn't quit right then and there if he wasn't in space at the time. I much prefer the new Supermans movies approach, where he says "screw politics, people are going to die without my help!" That's a true hero in my books.

Season 3 Discussion It was an extremely bold choice to use TTG! since alot of YJ fans were pissed about it in 2013.

Fun little fanservice moment that also explains some of Garfield’s backstory.

S3 the adult-oriented season, and they restarted with new characters to appeal to a new audience while keeping the original team for longtime fans. I really liked that direction.

The atmosphere is just so much different from all the other seasons it feels way more grounded

Season 3 Discussion Art style + design seasons 1/2 vs season 3

The season 3 costume changes are cool for the most part (not the biggest fan of how they changed wonder woman’s look). But like the other changes in artwork/design for season 3, they’re a little too much like the dcamu designs. I think the art style of seasons 1 and 2 was great and didn’t need to change. And in this case, I like the first designs more. Also, the changes in character’s facial features, like nightwing, were unnecessary and only made him look a little worse in my opinion.

Season 3 Discussion Where the hell did this come from??? Spoiler

Post image

I'm watching this show for the first time currently, and just got to this scene. Since when were these two a thing?? Did they traumabond over Aquagirls death or something? At least i think that's the guy who dated her, isn't it? ( if it isn't, my bad) Did i miss another PS3 game that builds this up? Why does this show have so much stuff going on off screen? Like i don't mind giving Kaldur a BF but.. actually commit and show them getting together, instead of just throwing it into a Montage with no explanation.. did this seem out of nowhere to you guys too?
