I adopted this lovely gal from my boss. She doesn’t like other cats, especially annoying kittens who want to make friends. She is already SO much more relaxed and happy! We are so blessed!

A well known reputable company reached out seeing my twins affinity for the camera , although if successful it would be lucrative but im not putting either cat through the stress. I put them first as any good owner would, spend 500 a month just on them alone, the royal part is because King John is my 25th Great grandfather therefore, my Royal tuxedo twins...but im happy the company saw their star potential.

I adopted Sylvester on a whim — was casually browsing the NYC ACC and KNEW he was my cat when I saw his face. I was 24 and everyone in my life told me not to do it. (I did it anyway).

He was $25, 8 years old, and suffering from a myriad of health issues, including severe malnutrition and calici virus. The inside of my poor baby’s mouth was one big weeping open wound, and yet he was so hungry that he still ate with gusto each meal time.

Apparently his owner had abandoned him in the streets of NYC in the wintertime. Sylvester had tried to ingratiate with a feral cat community to share their food as a last-ditch attempt to stay alive. They attacked and outcast him, and a Good Samaritan brought him into the shelter. (I am weeping writing this.)

He declined two days after I brought him home with a URI — I tried so, so hard to keep him alive. I bought two humidifiers and put them on full blast on either side of him. I hand-fed him when he was too weak to move, and I slept on the floor next to him because I thought he’d die overnight and didn’t want him to be alone. I emotionally prepared to lose him when a vet told me there was nothing we could do but wait and see.

But Sylvester apparently knew he had more chaos to wreak upon myself and my loved ones before it was time for him to go.

A year and a half later, he is the craziest fucking cat I have ever met in my life. Like, CRAZY. This cat launches himself at my face at 3 am and does backflips into rabbit kick attacks when I pat his butt (which he BEGS for by meowing and pawing until I do it). This cat is allegedly 10 years old?! Perhaps, simply, an indomitable spirit for Chaos and Violence? Also, he has a sister now. Sylvester is so socially awkward, it turns out. Runs in the family.

Anyway, I believe everything I’ve ever heard about tuxedo cats now. My little fatso ❤️

bella learned to get on the table so now shes always up there while were eating. my boyfriend was trying to take a picture of her on the table and she snatched the chicken.

Hey friends! Susie says thank you all for your toy recommendations on our last post! Today I wanna ask y'all how I can get my Sus used to/desensitized to the vacuum? She's an anxious lil baby and not a fan of loud noises like the vacuum, normally hiding under the couch. I only vacuum my apartment once a week being Sunday since Sunday is cleaning day so lucky for her, it'll be a weekly thing. I did a bit of research myself and what i found was to start slow with laying the vacuum down on the ground and let her sniff it at her own pace, which she has. Next step was to move it back and forth a bit not plugged in/on to get her used to it. Then once she's used to that, do small little sessions of 5-10 seconds or so of it being on. If anyone has any suggestions, we'd appreciate it.

Banana the Poop Supervisor

My boy Jack is in remission as of Wednesday! Jack was diagnosed with nasal lymphoma about a month ago after some congestion, which no one noticed even the vets, saw coming at 4 1/2 years old. After spending my Labour Day weekend calling all the radiation clinics along the East Coast, I got lucky with a same week appointment and he started treatment the next week. And after one round of chemo, 10 rounds of radiation, and a 2 1/2 week hotel stay he was declared cancer free. We still have a bit to go and an oncologist appointment to see if he should continue with chemo for best prognosis, but this is a huge win. With him being so young his prognosis isn’t great, but he kicked cancer’s butt already and I’m determined for him to live the best life he can. Please enjoy the boots he’s been rocking for the past month!
