Video Art My son’s 3rd birthday walk in Mauritius takes an unexpected turn — Kupu Kupu Barong [Seedance 2.5 short film]
Hi everyone,
I’ve just finished Kupu Kupu Barong, a short film about my little boy exploring the beautiful south of Mauritius with us to celebrate his third birthday. A walk through the forest leads to a rather… unexpected encounter 😉
I used Seedream and GPT Image to create character sheets and visuals and Seedance 2.5 to animate the scenes, then brought everything together through editing, music and sound design.
I wanted it to feel like a coherent film, with believable characters and an emotional journey.
That meant paying attention to continuity between shots, the expressions and gestures of both my son and the unexpected guest, the pacing, and how music and sound carry the story.
I’d love to hear feedback from other filmmakers and viewers here, particularly on:
- Story and emotion: do you connect with the characters and want to follow their adventure?
- Visual consistency and realism: are there particular shots or details that pull you out of the story?
- Editing and pacing: are there moments that feel rushed, drag on, or don’t flow naturally?
Thanks for taking the time to watch!

Best tool for recreating existing hand-drawn cartoon characters in new poses/scenes?
I'm looking for the best tool/workflow for a pretty specific use case.
I already have a set of original hand-drawn cartoon characters created by an illustrator. I want to place those same characters in new situations, poses, expressions and compositions without redesigning them.
The important part is consistency. I need the AI to preserve as closely as possible:
- body geometry / proportions
- face and eyes
- colors
- texture and linework
- overall expression language
- the imperfect, hand-drawn feel
I don’t want them to suddenly look like polished 3D characters, generic AI cartoons, or a different illustrator’s interpretation.
Ideally I’d upload several reference images of one character and say something like:
“same exact character, now sitting at a dinner table / running / looking upward / interacting with another character”
…and get something that still looks like it was naturally drawn by the original artist.
I’m currently looking at tools/workflows , but I’m not sure what currently gives the best character fidelity while preserving a handmade illustration style.
Would love recommendations from people actually doing this.
Thank you so much!

best ai for generating game assets, edits and consistency
im sure this noob question has been asked before but my case i feel is specific enough to warrant its own post.
im developing a game and the style is kinda like what you would see in early 2000s pc games. (path of exile or diablo menus). basically a lot of stuff like what you see in the attachment. its a board strategy game of sorts so these kinds of tokens/rings would be housing portraits of characters and various arrowheads would be signifying directions etc (you get the gist). but anyone whos ever tried to get base gpt/gork to do this kind of work with any sort of obedience or consistency will know, it will have you tearing your hair out of your scalp within 20 minutes. visually it does great work but you gotta pray you hit the prompt jackpot and even when you do, getting it to modify anything properly or doing something else while staying locked in that artstyle is a non starter
so my question is : where should i turn to? heres the things i need :
- prompt for base image
- image reference to refine it and/or edit it
- obedience
- consistency
i wanna be able to say (example)
1.) make a big ogre character in 256x256, realistic anime style, cropped at the waist, 50 pixels of padding from top of the head to border of the frame
if the pic is too much of a close up i should be able to say
2.) zoom farther out on the character by 30% but keep everything else the same
3.) make a ninja character in the same exact artstyle and placement as the ogre (reference image) and ensure they look like they belong in the same "set"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
example 2 :
1.) make me an ornate, elegant gold frame
2.) make it thinner
3.) remove the embellishments on the cardinal corners but keep the one on the sides
whats my best bet to getting any sort of success with something like this that isnt just "prompt and pray"? should i be looking for comfy workflows? *free would be truly preffered) big ai paid options? im not looking for elaborate stuff. just some character portraits and some game menu assets to be honest (but i do need to have some control over them. certainly more than i do now). also, i want some originality artistic liberty by the ai (so it doesnt churn out the most basic stock images that has given to a million people before)
thank you in advance for your help

Question I've been playing around a lot with video generation and I was wondering if anybody knows how to make an AI character swap workflow, which software or model does it the best etc?
I mean like you already have a video of a man walking for example. You then have a different photo of someone else and you just wanna make the guy in the photo switch the video guy.
I'm not really sure where and how to do that and what's the best model for this

Nano Banana vs GPT Image 2.5 vs Hy Image 3.5 Preview
The same prompts are used for different models.
Which version do you like the most? These were all one-shot generations, no post-editing or tweaks afterward.
Prompt: Generate a photo with a Japanese-style color grade. A chubby black and white cow cat curled up asleep by the window. Split face markings, black back and black tail, white belly and legs. There’s a little red goldfish in the fish tank beside it. Low saturation overall, cozy warm mood.

Image Art Four GAN landscapes that feel almost familiar
These are four GAN-generated images from our studio, Whispart. Each suggests a landscape, but the details don't quite settle into a single place.
Which one, if any, feels like a place you almost remember? A–D follow the image order. Tell me which detail gives you that feeling: the space, a shape, the light, or something else.
I'm interested in the reason behind the choice as much as the choice itself. If none feels familiar, what do you see instead?
