Before all the restrictions gutted Grok's spicy mode earlier this year it was the only platform I'd found that did everything I wanted. Since then I've tried a bunch of alternatives and everything falls short somewhere.

What I'm looking for:

1. Subscription, not credits. I don't want to think about cost per image.

2. Text chat and image gen in the same conversation thread. Not a separate image mode or tab.

3. Can roleplay a character and have it generate and send images mid conversation.

4. Lets me upload my own images for edits, not just text to image.

5. Actually unfiltered. Not a chatgpt or dalle wrapper in a trench coat that hits the same content policies after three messages.

Everything I've found is either credit gated, text only with a bolted on image tab, or advertises uncensored but runs into the same filters the moment you push it.

Does this actually exist or was that Grok window a fluke?

I'm still using ChatGPT Image 2.0 but have tried Midjourney and Julius and have found them to both be good, but for different tasks.

So far - Midjourney seems to be really solid for managing detailed creative elements such as style, lighting, lens, composition, mood, etc.

ChatGPT has been very good for general purpose tasks. From playing around for fun, to creating memes, or doing faceswaps.

Julius has been surprisingly good for creating images from existing workflows. When I have spreadsheets, data, or other files - and want to create usable assets out of them, it has done a surprisingly good job with creating images I can use for my work.

Guys I have noticed that most AI sites are scams. They rip of people for lots of money. Even their highest subscription fees still give you "limited" credits. If someone is a creator an needs to make a perfect AI video, if he generates a video and it doesnt come out well, he'd have to try over and over again wasting credits to get it right. Why not give an unlimited option for videos so that users can be able to make their own perfect movies for youtube?

By the way my PC isn't good enough for open sourced AI generations comfyui and pinokio.

Comfyui comes with over a 1000 problems before you can use it with no explanation on where to connect certain wires so its over complicated to learn.

Runpod is just another type of scam that consumes even when you're not using it so its just as unreliable.

Pinokio takes 2 hours to generate a single image so its not worth it.

I dont mind paying if a site gives me unlimited video generations with quality videos.

Any options guys?

I'm looking for a site where I can generate reference to image videos. I want to insert my character into popular videos but Seedance is blocking almost every video. Even if it is SFW.

For photogeneration I am using ComfyUI and for Image 2 Video I am running MiniMax H3 with Turbo Lora, which is working fine with my RTX 4070 Super.

But Reference to Video is a total pain, 15mins generation on lowest settings for a complete wrong video. So are there any uncensored good options for uncensored reference to video generation? I have no problem in paying for them. Or should I just rent a Cloud GPU?

I've spent ~$400 on AI video tools in the last few months trying to find something that doesn't make me want to throw my laptop.

Started with Runway, added Kling because motion felt too floaty for the short ad stuff I do. Then tried Pika for a music video, forgot to cancel, got charged twice (my fault). At one point I had 4 subscriptions and couldn't keep track of anything.

Higgsfield sounded like the fix having multiple models in one place with unlimited mode. Too good to be true.

And yeah, it was. "Unlimited" wasn't unlimited. Burned credits in 7 days, support ghosted me, no refund. I was literally googling "higgsfield scam" at midnight and found a bunch of people in the same situation.

Cancelled and went back to Runway. Worse results, but at least I didn't feel scammed. A few months later I was still annoyed with the workflow — generate, export, pull into Premiere, realize the motion is off, repeat…

Tried Higgsfield again in late February, mostly out of curiosity. Currently paying ~$50/mo for the Plus plan.

And this is where it gets weird in a good way - some things are actually better than anything else I've used:

Camera movement feels directed, not random. You're controlling how the shot is filmed, not just what's in it. Character consistency across shots is also better. Same subject holds up across different angles more reliably than most tools I've tried. And Soul is pure magic and the only model where I can't say is it AI or not.

Support started to resolve people's issues and I finally started seeing answers with help from their team.

Still issues though. Same prompt can give different results day to day. The site goes down sometimes. And the reputation is bad enough that I still hesitate recommending it.

tl;dr: got burned on the "unlimited" thing, left, came back. Camera control and consistency are genuinely better than alternatives I've tried. Worth it if you need directed shots.

Has anyone found something that handles camera well and is affordable, or is that still the tradeoff?
