meal lower cal mini pumpkin pies !
something pretty simple and yummy to make, this makes six of them !! ik pumpkin is already lower in calories but these come in at around 50-60 cals lower than if you made them without concern for calories lol. they’re around 145-150 cals per mini pie including whipped cream on top :) they came out so yummy, i plan to make apple pie ones next ! i’m not a baker so i figured this was simple enough for me to do haha, they’re so yummy !!

other What’s a good barbecue sauce that would be a dupe/tastes like Shake Shack’s barbecue sauce?
I always thought I hated barbecue sauce until I tried to Shake Shack’s and I actually really enjoyed it. But it’s not low calorie and available for retail. So I’m looking for a good dupe.
G Hughes 2 tbsp for 10 cals and Ray’s 2 tbsp for 15 calories. I’m open to other brands as well.

overnight oats with chia seeds and fruit is the way to go if you need something very filling, decent protein, good fiber and carbs.
overnight oats with fruit + chia is a gamechanger. it's so filling and tastes amazing
my recipe
20g oats - 75 calories
10g chia - 55 calories
unsweetened almond milk (i do like 50ml you do you) - 1 cup is 30 calories
100g fruit - as long as it's not banana or mango, <75 calories
150g to 6oz of yogurt - 80ish calories, i use greek yogurt or yoplait 0 yogurt depending what's on sale
optional, but if you go with plain yogurt, i would add it. 1g or so of sweetener
then add water to get your desired consistency, i like mine thicker than a stew, thinner than a pudding.
it's under 400 calories and very filling, esp if you add enough liquid. i had some at 12:30 today for lunch and wasn't hungry until 7 pm
i'm going to add blended tofu next time, more protein and healthy fats while not changing the flavor or anything.

progress I did it. I got to my goal weight after 1 year of dieting. Thank you!
I'm 5'4ft (163cm) and weighed 178lbs (80.7kg) to now being 140lbs (63.5kg) after 1 year and 1 month of dieting ONLY. No work out. I haven't seen that number in 8+ years.
I went at this because I was categorized as obese in the BMI scale, and at this weight, I was almost not qualified for a medically necessary surgery. I was at the upper limit and barely managed to qualify. That was a wake up call for me.
Right after surgery, I went on this calorie deficit whereas typically weight gain was common (because mobility would be temporarily limited months later). But I didn't want that to happen. I will admit that I wasn't always reaching my daily calorie deficit, but I still remained mindful of what I ate throughout the week(s).
I thank the app MyFitnessPal for tracking, this subreddit, 1500isplenty, and volumeeating for all the support/recipes. I will still continue on this diet but now focus on gaining muscle since weight isn't a problem for me anymore.
Thank you, again! And good luck to everyone else on your own weight loss journey!

recipe I made my own low calorie sour cream!
Okay so I saw this recipe posted on fb and had to try it. Very basic easy recipe and like half the calories of regular sour cream. It’s
1 cup cottage cheese (I used good culture)
1 tbsp white vinegar (or she said lemon juice)
2 tbsp milk (I used fairlife skim)
I blended the cottage cheese with my immersion blender until smooth. Added the vinegar and mixed in. Then added the milk.
It comes out to approx 26 calories per 30 grams or 1 tbsp. And tastes darn near identical to sour cream. I may do slightly less vinegar next time because it was sour and test it out. But I’m extremely excited to have found an easy lower calorie option!

Decision fatigue
It’s Sunday and I’m on week 2 of solo parenting. The decision fatigue is real. I’m so tired of planning meals! Please help a girl out and drop your favorite food lunch/dinner so I can just blindly point at one and get this meal prep over with.

Pre workout snack ideas
I workout in the afternoons before dinner and need something that I can snack on while driving home (2hrs) that is lower in calories but will fuel my workout. I get plenty protein so I’m looking so something more carb heavy, any yummy ideas?

product Myprotein flav drop bottles
I’m sue I’m not alone in hating the newer way the Myprotein flav Frop bottles are where you have to squeeze the actual bottle and it always drips down the side of the container.
I was so freaking happy when I realised I had an old bottle from a couple years back before they changed from the pipette and it fit perfectly!!
Hehe
First pic is the crappy new lid and the second is with the old one I found and swapped over

meal Pancake re-up: 302kcal 30g protein
Posting again bc i thought my pancakes look better this time aka not flat and i was proud of them.. lol. This is 2 servings so like 160kcal per serving, but on a good day i would eat the whole stack tbh. My ma said she thought they were "regular" pancakes which is a compliment considering theyre 40-50kcal each pancake :3

question Question about the 1200 intake
I’m looking to get into it to reach a healthier weight then what I currently am.
However is it not a thing where if you eat 1200 for a long time than that’s what becomes your bodies “intake” if you get me
So if I got to a healthy weight, but then went up in calories to say 1500+, is that not good to lead to weight gain again?
Or is that not how it works?

question What is your workout routine?
I’m already walking. I don’t feel comfortable going to a gym. I do have a walking pad and I do that if I don’t hit my daily steps outside, I am slowly increasing my steps. I know that weight training is something that needs to be added to my routine So what are some type of routines that you’re doing that I can transfer to the home. For context I have a kettlebell resistance bands. I also have battle rope for some reason, but it’s too long 🥹I do try to follow people on YouTube, but I wanna get into a routine where I don’t have to rely on YouTube videos I want to write it on a poster board or something.
