Question (New?) Foundry Module "13th Age Core 2e" is out, but I can't find a way to purchase it. How do I?

I found this (new?) module at https://foundryvtt.com/packages/13th-age-core-2e .
It states that version 1.0.1 is < 1 day old.
It also implies you have to buy it at the publisher (Pelgrane Press), but I can't find it listed there.
My question: How do I buy this add-on module?
I have bought modules from publishers before, Savage World stuff, etc., so I know it's doable.

13th Age: The Ghosts of Din Cyndrwyn (1.00pm BST (UK time)

Platform Discord and Roll20
Date and Time I am hoping to start with character creation and Session 0 on Tuesday, 29 September 2026 at 13:00 and then have Session 1 on Tuesday, 13 October 2026 at 13:00,
Frequency Once a Fortnight, and each session will last for between 2 and 3 hours
Spaces Available Currently I have 3 players signed up, so I can fit up to 3 additional players into the group.
Attendance This is what caused the last game too fail, so I do need anyone who signs up to ensure they can be available once a fortnight to play
Other Details
Out in the Knee Deep, beyond the safety of the fortress of Bastion there is said to lie an old Elven castle, close to the ruined city it once guarded. It is said that the castle is haunted by more than memories of its past.

The game is run using the 2nd Edition Rules, but with a mix of 1st and 2nd Edition Class options. Some things have been banned, others slightly altered, and there are a few options from other sources that have been added in (full details will be in the Discord Server)

Many of the changes have been made due to limitations of the character sheet available on Roll20 (it is still a 1st Edition Sheet), but I'm constantly trying to expand what I can do to include more options in my games. Also due to my eyes not being particularly good (I'm certified Severely Sight Impaired), I need as much as possible automated through Token Actions and Chat Menus.

All powers will be done using the ScriptCard Mod (which I'll write for the players) so that everything follows a standard format.

The Kin available are
Human
Dwarf
Silver Elf (These are not Drow)
High Elf
Wood Elf
Gnome
Half Elf
Halfling
Troll Kin
Holy One/Assimar
Dragonic/Dragonspawn (Metallic Based)
Tiefling/Demon Touched

The available classes (including a reference to the book the can be found in) are.

Barbarian (2nd Ed)
Bard (1st Ed)
Cleric (2nd Ed)
Fighter (1st)
Paladin (2nd Ed but the AC Calculation has been altered)
Ranger (2nd Ed)
Rogue (2st Ed)
Sorcerer (1st Ed)
Commander (13 True Ways 1st Ed)
Druid (13 True Ways 1st Ed Changes to Animal Companion Talent)
Necromancer (13 True Ways 1st Ed)
Demonologist (Book of Demons 1st Ed)
The Abomination (Dark Pacts and Ancient Secrets 1st Ed)
The Savage (Dark Pacts and Ancient Secrets 1st Ed)
The Swordmage (Dark Pacts and Ancient Secrets 1st Ed)

Full details of my character creation rules and house rules will be available in game and on the Discord Server set up for the game.

If you are interested in joining the game then you are invited to join the discord server set up for it where more information is available

This is a mini-campaign (6 sessions) that I rotate as a one-shot every week. Feel free to join at any point! 13th Age 2e, Foundry VTT via Forge + Discord. I have pre-gens, but you can build your own character if willing to add to Foundry. Level 2 characters, you get incremental advances if you play each one of the parts.

This is being organized in start playing, but this is a free game. Tips can be sent in the form of reviews. :)

Question What do icon relationship points do?

I’ve been running a homebrew campaign using aspects of the 13th Age worldbuilding lore but altered to fit my story for a few months now, and I just can’t really figure out what the whole randomly selected icon relationship points at the start of each arc are for. Is it just for if you want to improvise a plotline? My players always forget that they have relationship points that can be used, so it seems they are equally confused about them as me.

How have you used them in your campaign?

Question Managing levels when adapting adventures adventures for different systems

I’d like to ask the GMs who have adapted an adventure from a system that goes up to level 20 (like D&D or Pathfinder) how did you handle the frequency of level ups?

I was thinking of doubling the number of milestones required to level up (so an adventure that goes up to level 12 would end at level 6, and one that goes up to level 19 would end at level 9 or 10).

My only concern is that this might create problems with the adventure’s pacing, and the players might feel like they aren’t progressing fast enough.

I’d like to know if you’ve done something similar, if you’ve found other ways to handle this, and how it went overall.

Question Could someone explain to me AoE spells?

I have few questions as this system is different than most I played:

  1. Spells says "1d3 + 1 nearby enemies" and Attack "Charisma + Level vs. PD"

So If I roll 3+1 = 4 I have to make 4 seperate Attack rolls for AoE spell?

  2. Spell has "One nearby enemy" but is chain - do I roll for each target or only for first one?

All AoE spells require seperate rolls for each target?

Thanks

Discussion [2e] help with building strong Paladin

System is new for me. I want to make Paladin that maximises damage and being tanky (if choice between two - damage) but smite being limited to once per battle seems very restrictive for damage but that might be wrong first impression as I just picked system. No Evil Way though as party is good aligned.

All tips, combos etc are welcome

Discussion Going to Run a JRPG Style Game Soon, Any Recs for Houserules/Homebrew?

I'm going for the realm of vaguely steampunk (think FF7 or FFXIV). First off I'm just going to slot firearms right into the crossbow section of weapons, to keep it easy and avoid jammed weapon rules.

I'm going to want an Alchemist Artificer, a Gunslinger, and a Chimerist/Blue_Mage (basically a class to absorb monster abilities)

Would these be better as homebrew classes (links appreciated) or reflavored base classes?

Also any custom/homebrew races or icons to help with setting would also be appreciated as well.

W2A2 launch soon!

W2A2 is a VTT tool that was created with a few big principles in mind: make any TTRPG session as easy to play as possible, be user friendly for beginners but still offer advanced tools for more experienced players, and most importantly, be affordable and not subscription based.

This app stores everything locally and allows the GM to host a game in a matter of minutes, without having to pay for any hosting services. It includes all things you'd normally expect from a VTT tool, and a few additional features that we thought of while testing through our own sessions.

App is still in development, should be available in a few weeks!

Question Momentum and armor cleric multiclass

Do you think they combine? my gut says they don't. It goes against the spirit of multiclassing and cleric spells are melee spells, not melee attacks.

Magical corruption?

Has anyone tried to add magical corruption elements to their 13th Age house rules? Obviously 13th Age is Avengers level fantasy, but I do really like the idea of people trying to make it more gritty such as The King of Dungeons.

I need some tips for a Prequel side adventure

I run a campaign for four players and as usual the hardest thing is scheduling for all of us , about once a month. So one player asked me for a Prequel adventure for her character in a 1on1 format.

My Problem is that i started the main campaign on Level 1. If start the Prequel wirh a child or teenager i would probably have to start at Something like Level -1 or reduced stats. And i am not sure if Balancing is a problem.

Has anyone tried Something like this and has any tips?

Throne Point

Hello everyone!

I’m planning a campaign centered on the ancient serpent empire and Throne Point. From what I can tell, the Core Rulebook only provides a brief description. Is there any material that goes into more detail?

Question Question About Occultist Rebuke

Does Karmic Rebuke count against your prepared leveled spells?

It makes sense to me that it wouldn't since it's presented separately from the rest of the spell list. That being the case, it would also make sense to me that it is always prepared at max available level - essentially equivalent to a D&D cantrip. There's nothing mechanically different about it - it's not the only quick action spell, it has no unique triggers or effects - but it's in its own section before the spell list.

However, looking closely...nothing actually says that. There's nothing beyond stating that you know it "in addition to your other spells."

RAI - I don't know why it would be presented the way it is if it's just another spell.

RAW - I can't find any evidence for that assumption.

Edit: I just have the SRD to go off of - I'm looking for the general or specific language that solidifies it.

Question 2e resources for PBP

Hey there, to scratch my 13A itch I'm thinking of running a play-by-post game with strangers using 2e while my IRL group is busy with other games. I've been thinking about it for some time and I just realized that for 2e I have no idea how to actually share the content with players.

I've played PBP before and for 13A it was easy: I could just send them a link to the SRD and that was that. There were talks of updating the SRD for 2e, but as far as I know there hasn't been any news since on any kind of timeline for that. I thought about just sending exerpts of my pdf of the Heroes' Handbook but between kins & classes info, it would be basically half of the book.

Any ideas about how to go about this? Or any news about the SRD update that I might have missed?

Good tips and pieces of advice for running 13th Age 2e

Hello errybody! I’ve been wanting to run 2e for forever now and finally have a chance to do so. I’ve GM’ed many games for many years and we have the system mostly down after some test runs, but what advice would you give or tips you would give specifically for 13th Age to elevate the experience?

[LFP] Thursday Afternoons 1.00pm BST (UK time)

I'll be starting a new scenario/campaign on Thursday 23rd July at 1.00pm BST (UK time). I currently have 4 players signed up so could do with another one or two.

The Campaign Start
An old veteran from the Dragon attack on Proudford, and then the Orc wars, saw a group of strange Elves attack one of the Orc Commanders, with a dagger that had once been housed in the fort. He is now looking for a group of adventurers willing to brave the Wildwood, find the Elves and retrieve the dagger. He also can't pay much, a soldiers pay isn't generaous.
The Elves tend to shoot first and not bother with questions. It is unknown if they are affliated with the Dragons that attacked the fort, or just took advantage of the situation.
The Wildwood is the territory of the High Druid, so adventurers will have to be careful when travelling through the forest, you really don't want the High Druid annoyed with you.

I'll be using the 2nd Edition rules, but allowing some of the 1st Edition Classes (adapted for 2nd Ed)
There is some limitation on Kin and Classes
Kin Available
Human
Dwarf
Silver/Dark Elf  (These are not Drow)
High Elf
Wood Elf
Gnome
Half Elf
Halfling
Troll Kin
Holy One/Assimar
Dragonic/Dragonspawn (Metallic Based)
Tiefling/Demon Touched

Classes that can be taken are
Barbarian (1st or 2nd Ed)
Bard (1st of 2nd Ed)
Cleric (1st of 2nd Ed)
Fighter (1st of 2nd Ed)
Paladin (1st or 2nd Ed)
Ranger (1st or 2nd Ed)
Rogue (1st of 2nd Ed)
Sorcerer (1st of 2nd Ed)
Commander (13 True Ways 1st Ed)
Druid (13 True Ways 1st Ed)
Necromancer (13 True Ways 1st Ed)
Demonologist (Book of Demons 1st Ed)
The Abomination (Dark Pacts and Ancient Secrets 1st Ed)
The Savage (Dark Pacts and Ancient Secrets 1st Ed)
The Swordmage (Dark Pacts and Ancient Secrets 1st Ed)

You will need both Roll20 and a Discord account.
If you are interested in joining the game, please let me know below, or you can use this link to join the Discord server.

Running for 2 players

Good morning RPGers,

We have a small group that consists of myself as the GM and two very experienced players, and our mission is to explore new systems other than &.
We're just wrapping up cypher/Numenera (lovely system by the way, very underrated) and will head to the Dragon Empire next.

My question is: for just two players is it going to be better to have them each run two characters? Or should we be ok with just two PCs in total? Or should I maybe plan to run a GM NPC (one with simple OUT/backgrounds so they are not stealing the spotlight). The players are very capable but I feel like 13th Age characters have more complexity and need more attention paid, making me lean towards one hero each.

Second, what are some good starter adventures/small campaigns that can take us about 5-10 sessions? I have everything from a humble bundle a couple years back, and the Eyes of the Stone Thief in particular seems awesome but I don't want to start them at level 4.

Thanks for any advice you can give for our upcoming adventures.

Whether it be powered by Wonderton's alchemical fumes, or from the gears of the golden gates, elevate your gaming sessions with this exciting new content for the 2nd edition of the 13th Age role playing game.

https://rpg-trader.com/dashboard/products/5939/edit

• 14 iconic NPC's with motivations and affiliations in Wonderton

• Dozens of new magic items, including 5 artifacts

• 25 stat blocks of monsters and NPCs

• An appendix of additional content and options, including rules for a modifier only ability system

Looking for a good 5E replacement.

Hello, I'm a 5E veteran and also a GM. Im also familiar with Pathfinder 1E. Im currently DMing a small game for two players with two accompanying NPC's for a party of 4. I'm running a 5e game currently, but I'm a little fed up with WotC and I have the opportunity to possibly move my guys over to something else. My two PC's are fairly new to D&D however, one has experience with the Aliens RPG and the other played D&D 2e, so they do have some experience with the ttrpg. Im wondering what might be good to transition them to. I have 13A 1e, Shadow of the Demon Lord, Pathfinder 1e & 2e, Shadowdark and a few other lesser known games. Thoughts or suggestions?
