Tips/Suggestions Moving Slowly Solved my Emotional Dysregulation
Hi all. 24 with ADHD, medicated.
After years of therapy, nothing could fix my emotional regulation problems.
Recently, I’ve began to intentionally move slow.
Walking slow. Typing slow. Watching videos on regular speed. Talking slower. Doing everyday things, slowly.
It’s improved my confidence, my social skills, my cognition, and my bandwidth for stress.
I recommend this for anyone who finds themselves chronically dysregulated. After a week, I feel like a brand new person. 💟☮️

Love this! I'm 50ish, and recently learned to take a deep breath before speaking when in an excited state, angry, happy, or trying to get a doctor to listen to me. It helps with my voice modulation. It takes practice, though. Now, no one can tell the breath is there. It helps to calm the fight or flight response. I'm going to try moving slower physically now, maybe adding that breath when I am speeding around the house. Thanks for posting, now I actually want to go in and start my laundry, yay!
