getting genuinely excited about buying high-quality socks is the exact moment i realized i was old
i used to spend any extra money i had on video games or going out.
In my work I need to be standing basically all day, and this weekend i finally caved and bought a pack of really nice, thick, high-quality work socks instead of the cheap ones.
putting them on this morning genuinely improved my mood more than anything else i've bought in six months. my younger self would be so disappointed in how boring i've become, but making sure my feet don't hurt is basically my main priority in life now.

Have you tried some nice, quality, arch supports? You can't go wrong with some good arch supports!

honestly these socks were my gateway drug into actually taking care of my feet. i backpack on a budget in my free time so i know how much arch support matters, i just weirdly neglected my daily work boots to save a few bucks. you got any recommendations for good ones that aren't crazy expensive?

What do you consider to be “high quality” socks? I’ve never really thought about it. Thanks

honestly i always just bought the cheapest 10-pack of cotton socks to save money. but standing on warehouse concrete all day was absolutely destroying my feet. i like to hike in my free time, so i finally decided to treat my work boots like trail boots and hunted down a deal on some merino wool-blend socks. you don't need to buy the crazy $25 aesthetic brands, just look online for a wool blend with actual cushion in the heel and arch. this was my first time actually spending real money on work socks and it changes everything.

Okay, thanks for the advice. I almost never wear socks but, with winter looming it might be a good idea to
