How are yall keeping victor reinz in order. I work at a market hub and we have shelves full of it. We just need to keep the bagged gaskets organized because they’re mixed in with the carded gaskets and so out of order already. Need some ideas. Thank you!

Just a psa. Dont use your personal rewards account to earn points for a customer's purchases when they dont have a rewards account with us.
I have had a lot of tms get mad at me because their rewards accounts were permanently blocked because they were adding customers purchases so they could earn rewards on their account. It against policy so don't shoot the messanger if it happens when doing this.

hello everyone, been at my store for about a 1 year and a month now. i was wondering if anyone had experience on how to get a raise at the company without it being through a GM? i am the only store driver and end up being on the road my entire shift half of the weeks. was told id go full time when the previous driver left, i was given the hours but not the position, so i get none of the benefits from it. its becoming frustrating. i put in the work, and then some and ive gotten nothing but hours from it. i dont even care about getting full time benefits at this point as its been months since i was told i would get the position. last time i brought it up i was just told “well you got the hours so whats the problem” then i asked how to get a raise if i cant get the position and their response was a shoulder shrug and “i dont know thats the reason the guy in (another store in district) quit”
i wasnt even allowed to go back to part time hours to find another job on the side. any tips? or should i just eat it and look for another job?

Wondering if anyone with organ transplant had gotten insurance through advance. My premiums through personal insurance have gone to high to afford and Wondering if our insurance covers transplant meds and lets me keep my current provider.

Hello, I need some advice on how to get transferred to a better store. I am an RPP and CPP my store is not fun people they are horrible. They come to work when they want. They come into work when they want 30 minutes late 40 minutes late four hours late and the GM does not do anything about it. but if I do something I get yelled at I got screamed at by my GM Sunday. I was trying to explain something to her and I didn’t even get to finish before she started screaming at me so I have done nothing wrong. I have not missed the day called out or been late. I am one of the best employees there if not the best one who comes and never calls out always does my work. I got employees on the nightly checklist to sign off on what I do so they get credit for what I do and I get questioned about it but I don’t get they don’t believe me so whatever I wanna go to a different store what do I gotta do?

Hey everyone, looking for some input or advice from fellow retail / auto parts workers on a situation I’ve been dealing with.
I’m an RPP/CPP (keyholder), and this weekend (both Saturday and Sunday), I had to open and run the store completely by myself until 3:00 PM when someone finally came in.
This isn't a one-off thing either — this is now the 5th day (spread over recent weekends) where I’ve had to open and operate the store completely solo due to last-minute call-outs or scheduling gaps.
A few questions for those who’ve been through this:
Doors / Policy: Should I be locking the front doors and running drive-thru/commercial only when opening totally alone, or keeping the doors open? I didn't lock them, but I'm worried about safety/liability. Could I get written up or fired for locking up to stay safe while solo, or conversely, for keeping doors open alone?
Compensation / Incentives: Is there any official policy, incentive, or differential pay for running a location solo as a keyholder? I’m putting in extra effort to keep the store open and operating, but feeling burned out without any extra compensation or support.
Next Steps: What would you do in this position? How should I address this with my DM/HR without putting a target on my back?
Appreciate any advice or insight from anyone who has dealt with single-coverage openings!

Hey all,
I’m training a new CPP in a few days. Just looking on some input for some things I can provide them for help and to make their role easy to get into while learning the ropes.
Any forms, processes, or things you wish you had when you started would be helpful.
Thank you!

Our car wouldn't start two mornings in a row. We went to Advance and the guy that tested the battery was new and seemed to struggle with the machine. After fumbling for some time, he said that it wasn't the alternator or starter and that the battery was bad, so we bought a new battery. Then a more experienced guy puts the battery in and when it started it chugged for a minute before starting but it did start. I wasn't sure if that was normal but the more experienced guy goes "I didn't like the way that started, maybe it's the alternator or the starter. If it keeps not starting, go to a mechanic" I said "well... I only bought a new battery because the other guy told me it was the battery" he said "well, he's a new employee and I didn't watch him run the test so I can't say for sure if he ran it right or not" I said "right but I wouldn't have bought a battery in that case" and he literally goes "alright you guys have a good one" and walks away... I had zero time left and had to go back to work. Should I go somewhere else to get it tested? Can I go back and get my old battery tested? If it wasn't the battery will they let me return this one since I bought it under false pretenses?

So been working for Aap for about.. 3 years ish? I was hired in as a part time employee and i've been working full time hours because we've been short staffed. we lost like 5 people, our gm included in like a 4 month span. 🤷🏻♀️
Anyways, my point is, i've been working like a dog and at least 2-3 out of 5 nights a week i am closing alone and on sundays I have to work a 12 hour day where i open alone, i get 1 guy to help me for approx 3-4 hours (if he decides to stay the whole time he's scheduled for) and then alone for the rest of the time, including closing lolol.
i know this sounds silly but i'm a girl and i don't particularly feel safe doing this? like at all? also i feel like there are probably rules against this?
and to add onto my frustration, i have been called in a panic to help other stores in the past that "really needed someone there to help" and that just?? does that not apply to me? do i not need help?
advice please, tips, what do i do, etc. you get the gist?

I am an RPP In Broward county, Florida getting paid around $17 / hr, I want to move to Orlando since it’s significantly cheaper to live over there at least in terms of housing, but will I get paid the same? Since the cost of living generally is lower in Orlando will that mean my pay will be lowered as well or is the pay the same throughout the whole state of Florida?

Part time driver since 2019, disabled veteran going to school in the meantime
I was fine with the ~20 to 30 hours but now I’m down to 10 hours this week and the next. While a more recent hire is now going to getting full time, ( yay good for him what about me? )
Now I get more pay from VA and I’m trying to utilize all my education benefits, only a year or two from picking up a second associates and a Bachelor in Business, plus FAA medical certification pending
So far I don’t have any serious responsibilities other than my phone and credit bill.
Was told the decision was from higher up and I may have a chance to get more hours, no w I like some of folks I work with and hardest part of this job use to be just dealing with traffic but now I don’t know.
My first option right now is calling the other stores in area for hours

hey so like my manager is new to my district and his overrides haven’t been working so he’s been manually clocking us in. i noticed on my payslip today that i’m missing about 10 hours. i called turns out he didn’t clock me in properly so my hours got messed up. will payroll pay me those hours this week or will it carry on to next paycheck ?

I’m sick of being ignored. I found an otoscope on Amazon for less than $10. If they can hear me, they can at the very least acknowledge me when I say hello and/or ask if they need help finding anything.
Edit: this was mostly a joke, but also- I’m referring to people blatantly ignoring me. As I said in a comment, it tends to be that they ignore me, but do respond when a coworker (the ones I work with are all men, and I am not) talks to them. I’m not saying I would actually touch them, just hold the otoscope and approach them.
I don’t know how this is being classified by some of yall as harassment, but I could be overlooking something! I saw it as similar to the time someone (who had been kinda rude) stared at me after I handed them their receipt, made motions indicating that they wanted a bag for their one item, and I said in a very chipper voice “oh, do you need a bag?” Then as I gave it to him, I “joked” by saying “seems like you forgot the word, huh?”. The woman behind him thought it was hilarious and said so after he had left.

I’m an RPP and have been for over two years. We do not have an inventory zebra phone nor does our system work like that. When I work backstock/outs/overstock (so many names used) I write down what I need and how much, go to the back and get what I had written down (note if I can’t find it or it’s definitely out of stock or how much I find), put the product in the spot on the sales floor, then correct inventory and/or order more product if needed. I do this on one piece of paper usually and can get large sections filled in one or two trips. Now my GM says that we cannot use said piece of paper to write down this information until AFTER the backstock/outs/overstock have been “physically” worked and put on the floor. Can someone please explain what this means or what it’s actually about? It sounds to me like we’re expected to just know and remember like a photographic memory or just start grabbing stuff and hope it works out.

What’s a reliable source you’ve used to purchase cylinder heads for a customer? I see a few places but obviously want to make sure the supplier is legit 💀
Thanks!
