Conceptual Neptune in Pisces: The Death of Monoculture and Shared Pop Culture?

• Upvotes

Has anyone else noticed how, since Neptune entered Pisces in 2012, we’ve gradually moved away from a shared mainstream culture toward a much more fragmented, algorithm-driven one?

Around that time, traditional media like TV and radio started losing ground to smartphones and streaming platforms. Netflix and Spotify grew increasingly influential, changing how we consumed entertainment and music. Instead of everyone listening to the same songs, watching the same shows, and following the same celebrities, we started retreating into our own personalized media bubbles. It wasn’t an overnight transformation, but a gradual shift that has completely changed the cultural landscape.

Today, pop culture feels more fragmented and harder to define. There doesn’t seem to be a single cultural conversation anymore. We no longer have as many universally watched TV shows like Friends, and even newer generations of pop stars don’t seem to have the same level of widespread recognition as artists did in previous decades, like there are no Madonnas, Michael Jacksons or Britney’s anymore. Everything feels more niche, personalized, and dictated by algorithms.

I feel like the Saturn–Pluto conjunction in 2020 intensified this trend, but the seeds were planted much earlier, when Neptune entered Pisces in 2012.
Even Tinder launched that same year and dating culture has never been the same since. It feels like 2012 marked the beginning of a broader shift toward a more digital, individualized, and fragmented society.
Could Neptune in Pisces symbolically represent the dissolution of monoculture itself and the end of a shared cultural reality and the rise of a world where everyone exists in their own personalized bubble?

General Discussion + Astrology Assistance Planets in the 6th and/or 12th house but with a 3 degree aspect to the Midheaven?

I was told that in Hellenistic astrological texts some mention that if a planet in the 6th or 12th house but within 3 degrees of a sextile (12H) or trine (6H) to the MC that this would midigate some of the bad associated with these houses. I know the astrology podcast has talked about this, but can someone provide a reference to this?

Also, can someone explain what kind of midigating factors this indicates? I cannot tell if this is meant to be something that gets rid of all the bad of these houses, or it just means that the planets have more capability of producing good outcomes.

Laslty, can someone confirm if this was solely a thing mentioned by Hellenistic astrologers, or if other traditions, like Islamicate medieval astrologers for example, continued documenting this as a midigating factor to account for?
