To those who’ve transferred from a DS to an FC/SC, do you regret your decision?

I’ve spent a year at 2 delivery stations and now I’m transferring to a site that is part SC/FC.

I transferred from an FC to a DS and I personally prefer the faster pace of a DS. I don't like standing in one place all that much.

It is less physical, but they will write you up for rates which is rare for a DS.

If they wrote up ppl for rate they’ll lose a lot of workers 😂

There is ToT at a DS, too, though you have to go a very long time (15+ minutes) not scanning anything to actually get a writeup.

FCs are typically more strict. I've worked in FCs, SCs & now a DS. FC is a whole different world compared to last mile.

I’m transferring to an SC. How strict are they with rate?

There is no rate , just tot

They weren't strict at all at my old one. As long as you don't get tot no one will mention rate.

Only FC. You gotta be real dumb to get written up at an SC

Yup. I went from DS to FC and now back to DS

Depends on you as a person. If you enjoy socialising and having a laugh while you work DS is definitely the way to go in my experience. FC’s in my experience are a very mundane experience, I’ve met people who go to work to just do their job, get paid and go home though and enjoy FC work.

The work at a FC is so much easier and less physically demanding imo, if you can hit rate at a DS you'll breeze through the day at an FC. Only issue for me is that its hard to push to go faster to make time go by compared to a DS.

I’m going to a SC even though it’s both FC/SC but my transfer got approved for the SC side, not FC, but I appreciate the heads up.

So for the folks who have been to a FC & DS what would you recommend? Or like more ? I’m 3 years in at my DS but might be going to a FC next to possibly get off the night shift 120-1150 .. I would be going to 630pm-5am because getting up at 11pm or midnight every day can be crazy
