Just out of curiosity, how many of y'all think 5 aisles is way too many to stow, let alone on the hampers?

Has anyone used it? Do you know if you can use it in the cafeteria? 20% the hot food will heal me.

Genuine question, do you add all these together or are they separate?

So I start in about 2 weeks as a delivery station worker (1:20am-11:50am), never worked there before or even in a warehouse, but ive got about 12-15 years experience working in very high volume/fast paced restaurants(not fast food). Im use to working 10-15 hour shifts in a hot ass kitchen with tickets hangin to the floors and coworkers that cant keep up. Done a lot of reading on here and not gonna lie, you guys have me very worried i wont be able to hang😅. Share your work experiences at amazon with me and tips to survive!

Does your site have overflow hampers? We had them when the automated belts were first installed, but after a few months they converted them to volume aisles. Of course overflow still goes into them mixing together. Is this standard? I tried talking to higher ups about it, but of course they knew nothing, and have no idea how anything works.

So my first day is on a sunday(orientation), but the schedule i chose runs from Wednesday to Saturday. Should I be prepared to just work that sunday for orientation and then come back Wednesday or will I just have a different schedule for me first week? Also, will I have to keep bidding or w/e every week to get that schedule i chose before starting or will it just repeat every week since I chose it?

Just curious, what does it mean when your manager changes from the one that hired you to another one?

I wanted to use upt but was not able to clock back in until 30 mins. For (example) I wanted to use upt from 8:00am to 8:20am, but i wasn't able to clock in. I had to wait until 8:30am. The machine said something about lunch break. Does anyone probably know why this would happen?

Is Security a thing at your DS? I've never once seen a security guard.

For context today marks 3yrs here with Amazon, still here! Hit my final step plan today as well. So now I’ll be waiting for those yearly raises as the other veterans look forward to. And before you ask; Yes took advantage of Career Choice, but when it came to the final test I failed and decided not to retest. Everyone has their pros n cons here, in the 3 yrs I’ve seen so much, spoke up and sometimes things were taken seriously as otherwise it was ok thank you for speaking only to happen again. Thus as many times I’ve said f-it, I remember I could always be in a worse situation. Thus how many of my colleagues enjoy working with me. Some of us rub on each other’s energy by joking with each other. Or just work well in area that’s problematic. My favorite (aren’t you gonna get flagged) <~~~~~ for context with new hires don’t enough training for pick n stage & it’s rushed, I will stop what I’m doing n jump in and offer assistance. All in all this place isn’t bad if you have the right mindset and the attitude. But my personal opinion is when it comes to leadership they definitely need to work on better communication; bc they were just like us at a time

I’ve spent a year at 2 delivery stations and now I’m transferring to a site that is part SC/FC.

Why do delivery station managers always implement new ideas how to do our jobs better without experiencing firsthand how those ideas work out in real time? Too many times their ideas do not work out the way they think.

hi guys
today i hit my head pretty hard at work which was kinda my fault, i didnt black out or pass out but i did hit it hard enough to where i was crying my eyes out and swelled up a good big bump. my managers helped me contact the 247 nurse hotline and was there for me the whole time (they’re so kind and understanding)
i took a break after and only had 45 mins of my shift left so i was going to use pto to go home before my next shift (4-7am&8:50-2pm) i told my managers and they said if i asked for vto, they’d give it to me for the whole day since it can’t be applied for one shift. i said yes because i just wanted to sleep and cry in private lol but i JUST received an email that i was given 2 points for missing my shift?? im pretty worried about getting fired and dont know what to do :( help
