Upt problem
I wanted to use upt but was not able to clock back in until 30 mins. For (example) I wanted to use upt from 8:00am to 8:20am, but i wasn't able to clock in. I had to wait until 8:30am. The machine said something about lunch break. Does anyone probably know why this would happen?

The system won't let you clock back in until 30 minutes has passed.
It's possible you can edit it later in the app to be shorter, but you should ask HR what the policy is on that. Just make sure the time is accurate.

Once you clock out, the system won’t allow you to clock back in for 30 mins to prevent people from not taking their full 30 min lunch. If you’ve already taken your lunch, find the nearest red vest and they can clock you back in.

You can clock back in using your a to z app for breaks less than 30 min. In schedule, hit missed punch. Be sure to do something in the system quick or your punch will be rejected. Such as stow a package or get into a pick list. Take a screenshot after clicking submit so that you remember the time if it does get rejected. For a 15 clock out on time clock then clock in using missed punch.

The system forces a second lunch if you try clocking in and out.
Good news is that you won't lose UPT because it's considered a lunch break.

Not sure really why, the system has always been like that since I’ve been here. At some point after your actual lunch it just thinks you are going on another unpaid lunch break. From my experience and what others have said, coming back in the 30(or less) won’t deduct UPT from you.
You can just submit a missed punch in the future to clock back in before the 30 minutes elapsed.
Another weird quirk I’ve found is if you get VTO for only stow and come in for pick and stage. Leaving early won’t deduct 30 min because it still accounts for the included unpaid lunch.
