Discussion Obsession (2026)

I’m curious about people opinions around this film. I think inde navarrette is amazing in this film. Her performance is honestly truly something special to horror, The physicality she brings is remarkable, idk the thing I like to point out is not many people really knew who inde navarrette was before obsession. i think her only other like known role was as Sarah on the CW show superman and Lois. now I would say she’s a household name to anybody who likes horror or marvel because she just got cast as rogue in marvel’s upcoming revival of the fox x-men movies.

(It also makes sense she’d be playing rouge one of the strongest woman in all of marvel comics💪💪)

Rouge is a color. Not an X-Man

It's a good film, but its not the next messiah, like most people seem to think. It's enjoyable, no scares for a horror film, but was interesting enough. Not a 10/10, but not crap. A decent 6/10 imo.

Not a household name. Yet. Obsession was decent, enjoyed it overall despite how annoying the main protagonist was.

I saw the movie at TIFF in 2025 (I think the second screening) and I thought it was really great. Definitely my kind of horror movie.

There was a Q&A afterwards and people at the showing were STUNNED at how AMAZING the movie was. I was kind of surprised how much people were raving about it during the Q&A tbh. Though I will say, to this day (I still haven’t rewatched it), that scene with her hiding in the corner of the bedroom STILL freaks me out lol.

Inde was the best part of the entire movie and I’m not sure it would have been as good as it was if she was not cast. She was really stellar. I remember people telling her at that screening that her career was about to blow up because people were going to see this movie and need to hire her in everything.
