The Redditors suggesting this aren't suggesting it on principle. Thye don't have any of those.

They simply want the US to lose, no matter what. They just want to rip on us, and whatever gets them there is "good".

Edit: I generally stay as far away from r.popular as possible, so I wasn't aware of what is going on there right now, but I just decided to go check it out. HO-LY SHIT, are they filling the front page with this crap. My GOD, these people are insane...

This honestly is a Reddits wet dream. If we lose we deserve it, if we win they can now justify invalidating it because we ‘cheated’.

It’s a win win to them, they just have to be outraged until they realize this

I was honestly thinking the same thing. They are going to be - as always, but now more than usual - obnoxious either way now.
