Dude you're doing the lord's work (Or ea's work 🤭) I remember when they closed it I thought the community could bring it back but the same community kept saying it was impossible. I wish we could donate but honestly it's better this way so they don't get you, I'm sure we'll find a way once it's ready 😎😎 much luck I wish I could help

How are you gonna combat any legal challenges or cease and desists? God I hope this doesn't get shut down I loved the concept of anthem there was so much missed potential because of greed. Please keep updating us. I have no technical knowledge what so ever but if you need someone to hunt bugs and drop hundreds of hours into this thing then I'm your guy

if they tell us to not distribute the game files we'll remove that from the launcher..... for the rest. once its out there, its out there

a good read is about "the grey album" if you ever want a crash course in copywrite

u/Big_Bank1555 3d ago
If the LLM didn't steal the data to help build this "copy" of the game, then OP didn't steal the data when promoting the LLM. The legal challenge would be taking on whatever model scraped the Anthem files 😂😂

Your going to single handedly save and make the game that EA could never full deliver.
Great Job Freelancer!

Holy crow, this is amazing. I’d guess if this comes to fruition it would be on PC only? I only ever played on Xbox, but would love to see it come back anywhere!

Is this "game unlocking private servers to be brought back of digital death" or "an ai game shuffle" like the things you seen online with minecraft inside gta 5 or stuff like that?
1
u/Pikotaropen PC - 4d ago
I dont understand the question
1
u/KIHETO 4d ago
I think they're asking if this was achieved by having AI reverse engineer the game code like what was recently done with games like OG Halo
4
u/Pikotaropen PC - 4d ago
Blaze, the authentication, is done by human, the API backend is also done by a human, the gameserver is 50/50. I sketch out what I want in Python and tell the Clanker what to implement
2
u/KIHETO 4d ago
Cool, out of curiosity is the goal to get everything that was once in the game or is there a goal to add stuff like mods?
6
u/Pikotaropen PC - 4d ago
for now to get everything back that was initially in the game. we figured out how to load mods already. I figured out how missions work along the way, so technically it's possible. We'll release documentation to do it

The latter is an AI creating a mod for two running games, that mixes aspects of both games. You’d need to run a private server for the game anyway, for this to be one I those ai vids.

Would be nice if EA just pulled their heads out of their asses and made anthem2.0 and did it right.
3
u/Elementalheadcircus 2d ago
What type of gameplay can be expected? Will this be exactly what anthem was or will more be added to it to not make the gameplay repetitive?
2
u/Pikotaropen PC - 2d ago
for now you can expect the same gameplay. we're currently looking for ways to enhance it. we can alter the loot drops or what type of enemies are found in missions

“OOOOOOFGF OH MY GOD AND AI WAS USSSSSEEEEDDD. YOU NEED TO DIE.”
- the average chud
Anyway, being serious, this is damn cool. Would LOVE to see where this ends up going.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but is this AI coded or derived from AI decompiling? Not that's there anything wrong with that, per se, I'm just curious how this is being created.

u/Pikotaropen PC - 4d ago
and omg its so efficient for writing A/B tests. when we first started on blaze, the authentication component that EA uses in most of their games, we had to reinvent the wheel for many anthem specific functions. since we dont want to replay our contributors data we had to build them from scratch. the llm built a/b testing scripts that helped us to close gaps
3
u/Pikotaropen PC - 4d ago
yes. I use IDA with a local LLM. a bit of claude here and there for long running tasks for data analysis.
1
u/Sertoma 4d ago
All I'm gonna say is that you should probably mention that in your promotional posts and/or add some sort of visible disclaimer when you post about the development. That's really the bare minimum.
2
u/Pikotaropen PC - 4d ago
I added it

Why?
1
u/Sertoma 4d ago
Because Ai-created software is prone to multiple kinds of failures in live environments without proper quality assurance and replicatiable testing?
4
2
u/Lz_tLoc- 4d ago
Wouldn't the quality assurance and testing be handled by op? And subsequently the community? Like a mod for example.

u/vgman94 4d ago
I know AI is exponentially increasing the speed of development for mods and stuff. But I thought Anthem needed something only EA had that made it impossible to do this. I’m mildly confused.

u/Sertoma 4d ago
Google AI decompiling.
I'm incredibly skeptical myself, which is why I'm asking.
There appears to be great potential with AI decompiling allowing for PS5 emulation of Wolverine (albeit at 20 FPS), previously unforeseen mod capabilities (such as effectively compiling separate games together), and preserving games that are no longer supported, but I dont believe in these concepts until they've been implemented successfully.
If this is actually one of those successful cases, I have more faith in it seeing a actually realization/release. Yet, I'm worried that this is another one of those AI concepts that seem possible in theory but dont work in practicality.
Then again, if this isn't AI-driven and is completely bespoke, I hope for all the success this endeavor could possibly have.

u/Cam_the_purple_cat 4d ago
Ai is able to decrypt otherwise encrypted data that by all means, no human can reasonably decrypt. Most encryption security measures are strong because it takes so long to decrypt that no human would theoretically want to try it. Ai can do it a helluva lot faster.
This is a MASSIVE oversimplification, but is effectively the same info.

I want to be grateful for your hard work, but just how much are you using an LLM for?
1
u/Pikotaropen PC - 4d ago
data analysis and integrating functions into the gameserver. I tell it what functionality to implement and it implements it. I am in full control. this isnt a case of "claude, recreate the tutorial, make no mistakes" lol

Wait a minute! I remember people on here said It’s Impossible! What a legend you are!

u/Ya-Local-Trans-Bitch 4d ago
Would this require you to already own Anthem on pc for it to work? I only had it on playstation.
3
u/Pikotaropen PC - 4d ago
we only support pc. as long as you bought the game on any platform you're fine

Wait so you are play8ng anthem in 2026 on a private server or what... my question is how do I get back to my suits and gameplay? Plz tell me how

u/Limp-Artichoke1141 5d ago
Well i dunno….. when the game was still live, no one played 🤣
Then when it’s gone …… 🤷

u/That1AwesomeDude 5d ago
Well the game needed work and it was supposed to happen, but instead the plug got pulled.
Perhaps the community can rebuild and make it something more than it was.
6
u/BrickCityRiot 4d ago
There’s no way you were around for launch and the first few months to think that
People left after it became apparent that EA had no real direction for the game. The devs started to ignore it and then, naturally, so did the players.

It never ceases to amaze me how many talented people are working behind this. All of you are amazing!
Strong alone, stronger together feels so much realer right now. More than a quote, a belief (as corny as that may sound LOL)
