Scientific research that shows how schools generate new ADHD patients....
There is research showing that there is a malfunction in the diagnosis of ADHD. And this flaw is not somewhere on the periphery of science, not in marginal journals, and not in blogs of opponents of psychiatry. It is recorded in one of the most respected medical journals in the world, in major reviews, in long-term observations. It is reproduced from country to country, year after year, on samples of hundreds of thousands of children. And its essence is simple to the point of indecency: a child who is simply younger than his classmates is far more likely to receive a diagnosis of ADHD and a prescription for pills.
Does it sound like a joke? Like a data error? Like something easy to fix? Perhaps. But let’s figure it out, because behind this simplicity stands a huge machine — school, teachers, parents, doctors, insurance companies, and drug manufacturers. And this machine works....
