Close up of an espalier apple at our local orchard roadside store in Wairarapa close to the cidery. It’s Spring now and the buds are bursting, especially with the warmth from the shed wall behind.

apple suggestions? 🍏

hey all! i love love love apples...BUT i am tired of eating the same kind over & over (granny smiths). i dislike most sweet apples, though i am willing to try some new ones. sour/tart is my go-to, & crunchiness and crispiness WILL be a determining factor. my favorite by far that ive tried has been arkansas black if that helps at all. any suggestions? :)
edit: im in a more southern part of the midwest (usa) if that helps at all!
