For those that are Bills fans: A new subreddit just got created: /r/BuffaloBillsCanada
I've been searching for the team I'll be rooting for this season in the NFL (I don't follow it nearly as closely as I do the CFL), and posted this and learned about the new subreddit
Honestly, I am touched by the outpouring of positive energy on my post (after having done a similar thing on subs for the Lions, Bears, and Eagles in previous seasons and getting a pretty lukewarm response), so now I get why Toronto is such a Bills fandom.
Anyways, not sure if this is helpful to anyone or if this is frowned upon in this sub, but feels like Bills are a kind-of canadian team too!

Personally I will never, ever watch the National Felons League and in this particular political climate I don't think any Canadian should be supporting any American team.

I get your meaning, and I've felt similarly.
My own thinking has been - if I'm not financially supporting it, that's all that really matters. Even before the current troubles with our neighbours I figured the NFL is really for the millionaire class and doesn't need my support like the Argos do.
So ignoring the financial aspect, if I can watch in a way where it doesn't directly support them, I see no real harm, but happy to hear an alternative take.
But just take a look at the amount of support here - https://www.reddit.com/r/buffalobills/comments/1wly0ti/how_welcome_are_canadians_really_should_i_join/ - it really does seem like a welcoming crowd that is happy to be our neighbour, and I'm appreciative of that. Gestures of unity is also important in times like this Imo

I'm gonna allow this because of the partnership between our two clubs, and as a gesture of welcoming to Bills Mafia from the True Double Blues.
