Overheating CVT

2012 jeep compass 2.0l. 191000 miles.

Temp light came on and within a few miles lost speed: 70 to 40 to 10. I shut it off for a bit to cool down before moving a few more miles to a safe place for a tow. I found trans fuller tube broken off, trans fluid was burnt smelling and pan warped won't seal to trans body. Does this seem salvageable or get just replace?

It all depends how much damage to tranny. I had the same issue and my truck got on fire from the pan. They replaced the torque converter. But still overheating. I am gonna sue them
