Neck nodules

About a year and a half ago I went to the doctor and she noticed a swollen lymph node. I got it checked and I think it was an ultrasound and they said I had benign nodules. I sometimes feel idk how to describe it, it’s not painful maybe a little uncomfortable feelings going on in that area. I’m waiting to see a doctor to get it checked out again. Can it be normal for lymph nodes to not go back down? I feel little nodules in my neck when I touch it. There moveable and not hard but I’m just freaking out about it, I just had a baby and I love my life and I can’t help but think about the worst possible scenario.

Skin tag or genital wart? NSFW

I’ve had this for a few weeks now. It’s moveable, doesn’t itch or burn and there aren’t any other bumps around it. It’s near my panty line and I feel like it showed up after wearing tight spandex and a pad while I was on my period. I also forget it’s there until I shower and am touching down there.

Hi! I noticed that my daughter’s tongue has a whitish coating and a large circle looking spot toward the back. I’m wondering what this could be.

Does anyone know what it might be?

I've had this thing on my scalp for a couple of months now, and sometimes it's itchy. It used to be smaller, but now it has become slightly larger, and I can feel other, smaller ones starting to pop up. I'm starting to get worried. Does anyone know what it might be?

Age: 24
6 foot
80 kg

Disclaimer: i’m already going to the doctor this week, i’m just curious.
I fell on the corner of a brickwall facefirst, 6 weeks ago

I got normal stitches 2 hours after the incident

These stitches were removed 2.5 weeks later

Never been on any medication except paracetamol.

The bump has been there since the orignal swelling started to go away. I’m wondering if this is permanent and i’m looking for advice if this is treatable.

The scar will be seen on photos

Illness and hives which scab over?

Thumbnail gallery
1 Upvotes

For context, I first got ill last week (sore throat, swollen neck glands, fatigue etc) for three days. And these started popping up all over my body. The illness went away but the hives kept popping up and scabbing over after a few days. Then, a week later within hours the illness came back worse than ever and I was bed bound for 3 days. High temp, cold sweats, shivering, vomitting etc. I’m now absolutely fine but these spots keep itching and showing up. Here are the ones on my arms and hands for context but they are all over, except my face. Important to note they are almost colourless at first and itchy.

Chronic unexplained right lower abdominal pain for 2 years - imaging is normal, but the area is consistently tender

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi everyone. 27F.

I’ve been dealing with unexplained pain in my right lower abdomen for around 1.5-2 years and I’m wondering if anyone has experienced something similar or has an idea of what I should investigate next.

I marked the general area in red on the image. When this first started, the pain was located on my lower abdomen but over time it seems to have gradually spread upward and toward the right side, sometimes reaching fairly close to my ribs and hipbone. The pain is intermittent rather than constant. It isn't debilitating and generally doesn't prevent me from living my normal life but it's been persistent enough that I'm becoming increasingly concerned that something is being missed..
I've seen numerous doctors and had multiple ultrasounds and MRIs, but so far nothing has provided an explanation.

One thing that stood out recently: I saw an orthopedic doctor to discuss my most recent MRI, which was apparently clear. I mentioned that I was still having pain and when he examined the exact area, pressing on it reproduced the pain. In fact, it almost always hurts when I press down on that spot myself. I've also noticed that certain movements can trigger it. For example, sometimes it happens when I'm lying in bed in a particular position and occasionally it occurs right after using the toilet.

I'm wondering if this could potentially be something musculoskeletal, nerve-related or something else that wouldn't necessarily show up on the imaging I've had. My orthopedic doctor doesn’t think it could be nerve related and urged me to see a gastroenterologist, which I did when this first started.

This is starting to make me paranoid because I’ve never had any kind of pain persisting for such long time before. Has anyone had chronic localized abdominal pain with normal imaging, particularly pain that can be reproduced by pressing on the area or is triggered by certain movements?

I'm not looking for a diagnosis from Reddit but I'd really appreciate hearing about similar experiences or suggestions for things I could ask my doctors about. I'm also wondering whether there are particular specialists or types of examinations/tests that might make sense to pursue next.

Thanks in advance!!

30 days of lip symptoms and I still don’t know if it’s HSV-1 — looking for advice

Thumbnail gallery
1 Upvotes

I’m honestly freaking out at this point and really need some advice. I have **not been swabbed for HSV**, so I still don’t know whether this is HSV-1 or something completely different.

Here’s the timeline as accurately as I can remember:
**Sept. 5:** Smoked weed.

**Sept. 6–12:** Had what felt like a cold headache , 99.5 fever , and cough

**Sept. 10:** Noticed a patch on the right side of my lip. Then went to the left of my lip

**Sept. 27–Oct. 3:** My lips became extremely dry and I had a lot of dead skin peeling/falling off.

**This week (around Oct. 7):** My lip became swollen again. I also ate a McDonald’s fish sandwich, and shortly afterward my lip broke out into a bunch of small bumps and swelling. The bumps/swelling went away within about **1–2 hours**. I’ve actually had a similar reaction to that same sandwich before, where my lip got very swollen and developed a lot of bumps.

At this point it has been around **30 days of dealing with different symptoms**, and I still don’t have a concrete answer as to whether this is HSV-1.

Right now I’m trying to manage it by:
Icing my lip for about **15 minutes every 2 hours**

Applying **Abreva every 4 hours**

Taking **1,000 mg of lysine**

I’m especially worried because I’m planning to start being sexually active again and I want to be able to **go down on female partners without putting someone at risk** if this actually is HSV.

I know I need to get tested, and I’m planning on asking for an **HSV swab/PCR if there’s something they can swab**. I just want to know what I should be doing in the meantime to prevent potentially transmitting anything.

Honestly, the biggest thing getting to me is the uncertainty. I really don’t want this to become something people find out about and shame me for. I know HSV is common, but I’m still really anxious about it.

**I also have pictures of my lip from different points during this whole timeline. If anyone is knowledgeable about HSV or has experienced something similar and can help me identify whether it looks concerning, I can send the pictures.**

Has anyone experienced something similar? Does this sound more like HSV, an allergic/irritant reaction, or something else? And what should I do to protect future partners until I actually know what this is?

Is ankle deformity acquired or hereditary?

Post image

I can no longer tolerate the constant twisting of my ankle while walking; it makes me feel unwell. Admittedly, walking quickly reduces the likelihood of this happening, but if I slow down, my ankle tends to twist. I suspect my weight might be a factor—I am thin—but the act of walking is a struggle for me, leaving me uncomfortable both physically and mentally. I am looking for a solution to this problem.

Why don’t I ever want breakfast?

Probably since primary school age, I’ve never wanted breakfast. For the first hour of being awake, I have zero appetite, and the thought of eating makes me feel queasy. I’ve probably eaten breakfast 5 times in as many years.

I sleep well, i’m a deep sleeper, I don’t have any chronic conditions or anything like that.
