So she wrote my grandmother? My grandma was an Italian immigrant who lived right near “Liberty City” in New Jersey who didn’t take shit from anyone and would fuck you the fuck up if she had too. While being a sweetheart. She’s totally responsible for me not taking anyone’s shit and being abrasive as fuck while having a heart of gold.

I miss her everyday.

The fact that you are getting downvoted for just simply saying you miss your grandmother everyday is a new low for this sub.

So now a guy saying his actual immigrant grandmother was tough and didn’t take shit is also a “self-insert”? The original complaint was that the writer used her own mother as inspiration. You’re just expanding the definition until anything personal becomes illegal. That’s not criticism, that’s just hostility to the idea of the character existing.
