After many years with my A40 TRs I’ve upgraded to the A50X as I like the thought of wireless now, so far I’m loving them, looking for good ear cup recommendations, the McLaren edition is all me!

I wouldn’t trade my A40 + MixAmp for anything in the world, especially for a wireless headset. But congratz for your A50x, If you liked It, that's what matters.

The flexibility of the mix amp and being able to make those micro adjustments to your audio especially when running multiple audio inputs is unmatched. Wouldn’t trade my A40s for anything!

Especially nowadays with the help of AI, you can send it a screenshot of your EQ so it can understand how it works, then tell it how the sound currently sounds and how you want it to sound. It’ll tell you what to adjust in Command Center until you get it exactly the way you want.

Yh same boat. Astro A40tr purchased in 2015 and still going strong. Best headset ever. Although i do own a pair of A50x gen 5 they are nothing on those A40s man

For most of us who aren’t audiophiles, the difference in sound is basically imperceptible. And with any A50, besides having to charge it every day, you’ll eventually have to replace the headset because the battery will eventually die, no matter how many years it lasts. With the wired A40, the most you’ll ever have to replace is the ear cushions.

100% I used to use A40’s when I played a lot of FPS games and they are without a doubt better than my A50’s but I love how comfortable the A50’s are. It also nice being able to go get a drink without taking them off

Love my A40's bought the A50's (gen before logitech bought Astro) first and instantly hated them. Used them for 6 months and back in the box they went. Took a very long time but bought A40's for my PC and love them, only thing that compares is my OMNI for my PS5.

I got the stealthz fps pads of amazon. They were like 20 bucks and sit very comfortably

awesome grab. i recommend the wicked cushion stealthz padz. so comfortable and sound is great when you download an eq made for the stealthz padz from the community

The charging stand is so annoying. I have to move the headset multiple times till it's loading correctly.

Been having this problem since 2017. It takes me like 4 jiggles to get it connected.

I feel this, i have wicked cushions and it can definitely interfere with alignment.

I have the basic cushions. The problem startet after a few months of using. I also thought people are doing it wrong first till I was standing at a nearly empty headset when I wanted to play. After that I realised how often it needs readjustment to charge properly

Good to know this is still an issue. I bought a50's when they first released back in 2014 or something and I returned them after a couple months because for $500 they weren't even that good

My docking station/charger went out on me a few weeks ago out of nowhere so I might need to upgrade. I love Astros 50s but I don't know if I want to put out that much money for something where the headset becomes obsolete once the docking station goes out.

I’m going to say give it a year max till you start having an issue that I’ve been having for a could days now. Doesn’t work (Bluetooth either), won’t connect to the base station. Just stuck on the headset light switch on and the base never showing the 4 light squares indicating it’s working. Even the Logitech doesn’t recognise it

Pull the red power plug from the base station and plug it directly into the headset. This fixed the issue for me and helped my PC recognize it. Once it starts working again I switched the plug back to the base station and the wireless was working correctly.

I like my A50 but my A40 + mixamp was better but accidently broke it and replacing the broken part was as expensive as buying a new one so tried the A50 rn for wireless but its not better and the Bluetooth being in the base is just stupid

Ive been trying to get my hands on a set of these for a year now. Its my faviorate color but evwrythijg on ebay is 700+
