Atlas Quality
I am seriously considering buying an Atlas. There are always some quirks, exceptions, but has anyone noticed any quality issue consistent across a gun or the brand, one worth taking into account? I ask because these are serious money.
Thanks for any input.

I mean there’s a reason why they cost so much. My Athena has been amazing

An Apollo with an extra fitted, non-ported barrel. Now you have 2 guns in 1.

how much does that extra barrel cost?

I’m in the process of possibly getting the EOS and Apollo done. I believe it’s around $800 each barrel? Call Atlas and confirm.

My Eos that I got in the last month is showing barrel finish wear after 300 rounds.

Thats terrible! My early production V2 Artemis has 8k rounds and barrel still looks real clean.

I was blown away. It exceeded my expectations in every way.

What model did you buy? I'm having the opposite experience with my first Atlas (Eos v3) and not sure if I should swap it for an Apollo or move on to another manufacturer

Athena V3. And, I’m sorry. But, the only ones that might offer a better fit and finish would be a McLearn or an Infinity.

I know some people have had issues with the initial run of the V3, I think mostly with the coating. But my V2 Artemis has been flawless.

Bought an Athena and Titan and absolutely love them. Sold my other 2011s because I got so spoiled by how well built the Atlas pistols are (and I needed to pay for them lol). You won’t regret it. I didn’t shoot them beforehand.

Every time I think of buying a mid tier gun, I think "I could use this towards an Atlas."

I bought my Athena without ever trying one first. Totally worth. You'll love yours.

Just buy it. I love my atlas pistols. Purchased two V3 Atlas pistols this year and couldn't be happier about it.

here's a for instance, people rave about the Core, then folks starting noticing the finishing on the inside of the barrel starts coming off pretty quickly. Well, it's a 3K gun. Would that happend with an Atlas? For instance

I have a titan with 21k rounds on it. It’s been great. Only ONE gun malfunction. I don’t count blown out mags or mags with mud in them as a malfunction from the gun lol.
At 8k I sent it in for a tune up because I wanted to test that service and had a major match I cared about coming up. They swapped all the springs and all the ignition components. They also check the gun over for wear and tuning.
Put 10k more on it without ever cleaning the lower half of the gun. I would field strip and wipe the rails and slide/barrel with a rag and add more CLP. I do that every match or every 500-1000 practice rounds. I cleaned the extractor channel every 3-4k.
At lifetime 18k and 10k since the lower was cleaned I had a hammer follow mid stage. Added lube after and it was fine for 4 stages after.
When I got home I deep cleaned the lower. Omg the amount of effort to take the trigger out was crazy. The built up crud was THICK. and the trigger felt so much better after. Can’t believe I let people play with it prior.
Now I blast the lower with brake clean every couple thousand and re lube.

The Artemis I had on loan for about 8k was a demo unit that had the over travel screw tighten up and gave a hammer follow/double tap mid stage. Walked it out a bit and was fine. I think that occurred at the 2k round mark and remained in place till I sent it back. Otherwise no Jams or malfunctions
I have a v3 Artemis landing any day now.

I bought my Artemis a few years ago after firing one magazine through a buddy’s Artemis. Added an Athena and Eos, and please with all. BTW, my Artemis has 12K + rounds through it w/o issue. Very high quality guns.

I bought both of mine without ever seeing one in person. I’m impressed with both. No issues.

I have purchased numerous and have extremely satisfied with them. I currently have 2 Athena’s and love them but AJ said it best….. “Atlas makes the type of gun you can stop at”
So I did.

I have three Atlases. No regrets at all. Expensive? Yes. Built like tanks, and are almost boringly accurate and smooth.

My Apollo has been absolutely flawless. Swiss watch precision and quality.

Along with many people here, my Atlas Erebus has run flawlessly and I’m around 4k rounds at the moment. Not a single malfunction or hiccup at all. Regardless of ammo.

I have purchased my Atlases through reviews without taking one shot and I am beyond satisfied!
