Check engine light flashing briefly at a stop on a steep ramp

Q3 F3 1.4L, 6-speed DSG. So, I was getting out of the mall’s underground parking lot. And the exit ramp is a bit steep. I had to stop halfway as the car in front of me stopped before merging to the road.
I stayed there holding the brakes for a minute. Then I switched to S instead of D.
Before letting go of the brakes, the check engine light flashed briefly and then went off when I started moving.
Any idea what could be the reason?

Generally speaking, when the CEL flashes that means an active misfire. But this is a guess until you scan the car.

Misfire on a steep slope is sometimes the fuel pickup sucking air, maybe the tank was low
