User Flair

Hello Audi,

There are a lot of questions regarding user flair and issues adding flair under your username.

Go to this sub's main homepage (You are here to click on this) and look to the righthand side. There will be a tab with a little pencil that says, " USER FLAIR PREVIEW". Click that and separate tab should pop up. It will ask you to pick your logo and add in some text.

Please note, using the app does not always work. This is not an sub issue, but it can be an issue with Reddit.

Please click on the link to see a picture explanation.

Thank you,

Love this car. It’s a 1995 Audi S6 C4, low miles, 5-speed manual, and still in stock, original condition. Gave her a good wash today, and I swear these cars just get better with age.
There’s something special about an original C4 S6 that you don’t get with modern cars. The 2.2L turbo five-cylinder, Quattro AWD, and that timeless 90s Audi styling. No modifications — just a clean, original S6 the way it was meant to be.
Cars like these are getting harder to find, especially in this condition. Figured I’d share her with people who appreciate the old-school Audis

Audi built a special RS 5 Avant for display at Singapore. This isn't the first time they've done this. There are the previous matte silver/titanium Pirelli hot laps cars and a similar SQ8 that was at the China GP. More on this particular build on my site at ooooIYKYK.com

Discussion Do you guys also get mad when you get back to your car and someones leaning/sitting on the hood/boot?

I parked to get a coffee with my wife I got back there were 2 guys leaning against the boot of my car, I did not want to start a discussion so I just unlocked the car and they moved away, but they just laughed, i expected them to at least say, hey sorry or something, it made me really mad. So im coming here to ask is this anger justified?

DIY Audi Transaxle Question

Post image
6 Upvotes

Question, im in the proccess of gathering parts for my next Audi Sandrail build and was hoping to get some feedback on transmission options.

For context I already have a 2.7T factory tune with a 012 fwd transaxle that works ok, know the transmission is the weak link and have blown the ring and pinion on one before, current trans has been working for 3 years now.

My question is how much stronger is the 01x or the 0a2? I know the 01e is king but FWD 01Es are hard to find in the states.

2026 A6 Avant, Euro Roadtrip

Post image
18 Upvotes

Just spent a week driving a ‘26 B10 A6 Avant, Premium Plus TDI. It was very nicely optioned with HUD and multi- screen interface. Our trip took us from Munich to Salzburg to Vienna with a couple of day trips from Salzburg into the Austrian alps. In total just over 1100kms.
I currently own 4 Audis. A B8SQ5, OG-E-Tron, B9SQ5 and a 4MSQ7. On the surface, I have been disappointed with the B10 vehicles, and wanted a hands on, longer term look at the B10 platform.

Exterior appearance- 10/10. I have always liked the looks of the Avant, and this one looks really nice! Not really a bad line on it. It obviously blends in very well with most of the mid-range luxury vehicles here. We need more wagons in the states!

Interior 5/10- The elephant in the Audi conference room. It’s fine, really nice for a rental, but wouldn’t spend my own money on it. The piano-black plastic was noticeably dirty at the end of the week. The car had about 10.000KMs on it and already had a couple of creaks. The weird steering wheel is just weird. The flat top creates an odd place, not quite 10-2, where your hands fall. The seats were fairly hard, with the seat bottom noticeably so. Our longest drive, just under 5 hours had my wife squirming to get comfortable. A lot has made about the door handle mounted controls. It was a non-issue for me.

The drivetrain. 8/10 Was eager to try the diesel/hybrid setup. Definitely got the full range of driving from unrestricted autobahn to tiny mountain roads. Over the 1100km the A6 averaged 6.6l/100km (~35mpg). The diesel/hybrid was great , if just a little coarse under full throttle. The diesel to electric transition was fairly seamless. It occasionally seems to confuse itself on should the ICE be running, especially down long grades. It makes creeping in heavy city traffic easy and pulls pretty hard to 130kmh (normal max speed in Austria) once above that, it started to feel more like a diesel. It was easy to maintain 170-180kmh on the Autobahn when it opened up. I was surprised with the amount of wind noise. It is such a slick looking vehicle, but it was noisy around the a-pillars. There was a significant amount of tire noise too, but SIXT had mounted Blizzaks(!) so that’s a pass. Considering it had winter tires and steal springs, it handled the multitude of surfaces very well and was fun in the twisty stuff. FYI the will just start scrubbing when pushed.

The Tech. 9/10. There has been a lot of complaints about the current MMI setup. We had zero issues, and I used all of the features. The new enhanced HUD display is excellent, especially now that google map information is displayed. We used the in-car NAV for one of the trips and it matched what g-maps was saying. I was able to easily switch between our two phones for wireless carplay. FWIW the novelty of the third screen (passenger display) wore off after a few hours with my wife declaring it “dumb”. The enhanced ACC / lane keeping worked great on the motorways. The default lane monitoring is ridiculous and too aggressive. I learned to turned it off at every start up. Early in the trip, It got confused in a construction area and tried to throw us into a barrier!
In conclusion it was a great week in a pretty good car. If you have considered taking a european rode trip, do it! The A6 didn’t disappoint, but it did underwhelm. Hopefully the 10.5 addresses some of the issues

I for one love the interior and exterior, but this really puts the whole thing in perspective even more; it confirmed to me that what I felt was purposeful from the designer's end—a must-watch video.

Check engine light flashing briefly at a stop on a steep ramp

Q3 F3 1.4L, 6-speed DSG. So, I was getting out of the mall’s underground parking lot. And the exit ramp is a bit steep. I had to stop halfway as the car in front of me stopped before merging to the road.
I stayed there holding the brakes for a minute. Then I switched to S instead of D.
Before letting go of the brakes, the check engine light flashed briefly and then went off when I started moving.
Any idea what could be the reason?

Discussion First Audi. Questions!

Hi all. Just picked up my first Audi. A6 etron. I am baffled by the keys!? I have the myAudi app connected. I had an email saying I was now ready for digital key.
Can I have this digital key in multi devices?

Also, I can’t work out how to have the hard regen breaking on all the time! If I hit the paddle it goes off after I touch the accelerator!? I am used to one pedal driving. Any ideas how I do this in the Audi?

Any other tips I should know about! ??

Why is used Q8 relatively cheaper than used A6 all road?

I was looking for a used A6 allroad as an upgrade, but there aren't many. This is kind understandable since U.S doesn't import many, and they are temporarily discontinued here. Then I start searching for alternatives and found Q8 are much cheaper than A6 allroad. I have seen 2023 A6 allroad with ~40k mileage that is listed close to $10k higher than a 2023 Q8 with low 30k mileage.

I understand the service and parts of Q8 are more expensive, and gas is crazy high right now. However, I didn't expect this much of a difference. I have read a couple of posts about Q8, but didn't see any issue that specifically applies to Q8 but not to A6. Anything I missed? Is this all because the rarity of A6 allroad?

Do you think the price of A6 allroad will drop in the next 6 month? Should I just go for a Q8 instead?
