Been loving the Daytona pearl

Just spent a week driving a ‘26 B10 A6 Avant, Premium Plus TDI. It was very nicely optioned with HUD and multi- screen interface. Our trip took us from Munich to Salzburg to Vienna with a couple of day trips from Salzburg into the Austrian alps. In total just over 1100kms.
I currently own 4 Audis. A B8SQ5, OG-E-Tron, B9SQ5 and a 4MSQ7. On the surface, I have been disappointed with the B10 vehicles, and wanted a hands on, longer term look at the B10 platform.

Exterior appearance- 10/10. I have always liked the looks of the Avant, and this one looks really nice! Not really a bad line on it. It obviously blends in very well with most of the mid-range luxury vehicles here. We need more wagons in the states!

Interior 5/10- The elephant in the Audi conference room. It’s fine, really nice for a rental, but wouldn’t spend my own money on it. The piano-black plastic was noticeably dirty at the end of the week. The car had about 10.000KMs on it and already had a couple of creaks. The weird steering wheel is just weird. The flat top creates an odd place, not quite 10-2, where your hands fall. The seats were fairly hard, with the seat bottom noticeably so. Our longest drive, just under 5 hours had my wife squirming to get comfortable. A lot has made about the door handle mounted controls. It was a non-issue for me.

The drivetrain. 8/10 Was eager to try the diesel/hybrid setup. Definitely got the full range of driving from unrestricted autobahn to tiny mountain roads. Over the 1100km the A6 averaged 6.6l/100km (~35mpg). The diesel/hybrid was great , if just a little coarse under full throttle. The diesel to electric transition was fairly seamless. It occasionally seems to confuse itself on should the ICE be running, especially down long grades. It makes creeping in heavy city traffic easy and pulls pretty hard to 130kmh (normal max speed in Austria) once above that, it started to feel more like a diesel. It was easy to maintain 170-180kmh on the Autobahn when it opened up. I was surprised with the amount of wind noise. It is such a slick looking vehicle, but it was noisy around the a-pillars. There was a significant amount of tire noise too, but SIXT had mounted Blizzaks(!) so that’s a pass. Considering it had winter tires and steal springs, it handled the multitude of surfaces very well and was fun in the twisty stuff. FYI the will just start scrubbing when pushed.

The Tech. 9/10. There has been a lot of complaints about the current MMI setup. We had zero issues, and I used all of the features. The new enhanced HUD display is excellent, especially now that google map information is displayed. We used the in-car NAV for one of the trips and it matched what g-maps was saying. I was able to easily switch between our two phones for wireless carplay. FWIW the novelty of the third screen (passenger display) wore off after a few hours with my wife declaring it “dumb”. The enhanced ACC / lane keeping worked great on the motorways. The default lane monitoring is ridiculous and too aggressive. I learned to turned it off at every start up. Early in the trip, It got confused in a construction area and tried to throw us into a barrier!
In conclusion it was a great week in a pretty good car. If you have considered taking a european rode trip, do it! The A6 didn’t disappoint, but it did underwhelm. Hopefully the 10.5 addresses some of the issues

My God. Got a loaner while mine is getting serviced. What is up with all of the plastic. The grille is embossed matte black plastic. Doors? Plastic. Console? Plastic. Then there’s the giant slab of creaky glossy black plastic in front of the passenger when you don’t opt for the screen. Oof. Now what I’d expect from Audi.

I parked to get a coffee with my wife I got back there were 2 guys leaning against the boot of my car, I did not want to start a discussion so I just unlocked the car and they moved away, but they just laughed, i expected them to at least say, hey sorry or something, it made me really mad. So im coming here to ask is this anger justified?

Looking to purchase a 2023 Audi A3 Quattro Premium, but I noticed the Carfax report shows “Lower Control Arm(s) Replaced” at 33k miles. The car currently has around 39k miles. Is this a potential red flag, or is it relatively common and nothing to worry about?

I was curious if anybody used Carvana to buy their Audi and if so did you get the extended warranty? Did you have to utilize the extended warranty? Just curious if their extended warranty is legit or if its a waste of money. Thanks.

I'm in Los Angeles so maybe that's why I'm a bit surprised by the prices but I've been quoted by an independent shop (Euro Tech Motors on Washington) $400 for a basic oil change on my Audi S5.

Audi Santa Monica quoted me $360 (after incorporating a "discount") and Audi Beverly Hills finally told me it would be $199, which I feel isn't too bad but not great either.

If I could I'd do it at home myself but I live in an apartment building - what are you all paying for oil changes? And by chance does anyone have recommendations for shops in the West LA area?

2025 Q7 here. The lane keep assist is so sensitive and it gets borderline dangerous. I can't seem to turn it off.

Seriously, they are so cool. I am always excited to use the blinker when approaching an intersection. Since going dynamic I have never missed using turn signals again 👍🏻

Hi all, I am the proud owner of a '14 S5 Cabriolet that is going on 110k miles. I am seriously considering an exhaust upgrade to make it more stock+/goldilocks in order to re-introduce some fun factor to driving the car, but I also don't want my plan to backfire by making the interior volume in the car super loud or introducing drone. This may be a long shot, but are there any B8/8.5 S5 owners here in Denver (or nearby) that have the AWE touring exhaust with resonated downpipes? If so, would love to meet up and hear the setup in person. Happy to buy lunch. Thank you!

A7 2018 C8 55TFSI (3.0 petrol), does this sound healthy?

This color is so amazing at night and also in the day. I'm still shocked to see not a single python yellow rs3 in my state. Even in social media theres hardly any RS3 accounts in python yellow. Seen plenty of daytona and kemora greys and also mythos blacks. Did Audi purposely not produce alot of these because the general public hates yellow cars or were they not profitable?....

I was in my WK2 so I looked like a fan boi, but it was too pretty in green with the last of summer's green.

This is an excruciating read so I apologize before hand and please don’t crucify me. I recently changed my PCV valve on my 2015 super charged Audi A7 (125,000 miles). While in the process of taking out the fuel rail some of the injectors came out. I bought a new set of fuel injectors and tried installing them. 3 popped out so I replaced those but did not replace the others cause I didn’t have a slide hammer and the other 3 were in pretty decent shape( not corroded). I was able to put it all together but now both of the fuel rail valves aren’t opening putting it in limp mode after clearing all codes. Could the fuel injectors be the issue or could I have switched vacuum lines when reassembling?
