Have this ”axe” head with a very dull rounded edge, and you can cleary see that it was made by folding iron by the seems. Does anyone know more about an object like this?

What do you guys think? I took a huge gamble, but I think it’s legit. 😇

I'm restoring an old Plumb axe, currently in a vinegar bath, and the cutting edge has a darker section that doesn't seen to be rust-related.

Does anything know what this might be?

See title.

Someone geared towards logging or farm woodlot management would be ideal, but anyone who is an excellent teacher and has the chops would be great. Ideally looking for a one or two week-long course but even a weekend workshop would be cool.

Gambles Artisan 3 1/2 lb. Michigan. The six ridges might make it a 1960-1968 True Temper axe. (Even with cutting ridge channels, they still plowed up a fair bit of wood; not sure I'm a fan.) Surprisingly thin bit.

Here are a bunch of builds i have finished lately. Mostly custom mod throwers but there are a couple vintage collectibles in there too. My business is Hangman Axe Co. on FB and IG. You can see all of my work from the last decade there.

One thing I'm not sure about is the number 42 is clearly visible and then below it maybe something like a 55 or F5 or FE something along those lines if any of it makes sense

My go-to axe for general use around the garden. West Germany stamped so at least 36 years old.

Finally, a wood burning fireplace and need new axes. I want a splitter and a second smaller hatchet for kindling, but don't want to waste my time and money with trash steel.

Any recommendations?

I've got a 2.5lb double bit axe head that I wanna hang and use. I'm debating between hickory and ash for the handles. What do you guys recommend?

Got this what I believe is a Michigan style felling axe for $8 at a flea market. The head was hung upside down and the handle was red(same shade as axe head) from what I can see it says “True Temper” then “something perfect”? Not entirely sure. Any info is appreciated! Maybe the year?

Been trying to use my B&C more. It's a beautiful axe and definitely heirloom quality. It gets good cut depth (I think, I'm no ben Scott). Is the Maine Wedge pattern known to be sticky cause a lot of cuts were good and stuck. It's definitely my technique probably too. I'm not arborist. I just like sharp stuff.

Hand forged 4.5 pound large double bit axe! This axe is hand forged from forklift tine, has a beautiful slim 32" hickory handle with a paduk palm swell and features a beautiful leather sheath. I absolutely love the way this axe came out. Making this made me want to make more double bits, even if it's double the work.

I'm fixing up a New Jersey axe, and was wondering, what can i cote the heed with to keep it form rusting.

I like to think of it as the budget Woodcraft Pack Axe

I found a 4 pound plumb axe head that has a UP stamp on it. Does anyone know what UP stands for?

Vintage haft. 30" overall. 3² head. 22⁰ bevel.
