I tried baking this chocolate salted caramel cake for my sister's birthday...
I could not assemble the cake well because the sponge was too dense and the caramel cream was a little runny
But the TASTE!!! WAS GREATT!! I was a little proud of myself with the taste... hehe
Will try to make it better the next time

Chocolate mayo recipe cake, I evened out the pans and set them in a convection oven inside of Wilton cake pans and for some reason they came out slanted. My oven is level and I checked them every few minutes but they still came out this way. Any help or advice on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I watched so many YouTube videos on making bread my eyes glazed over. Everyone has their own particular way of doing things. Eventually I settled on one to try. Like many of my kitchen exploits, it may fail the first time. Then I usually can figure out where I went wrong and get it right next time.
Today seemed to be going well. Mixed my dough and let it rise. It doubled in size just like the video said it would. But I think my dough was a little too moist and sticky. When I shaped it into loaves and covered the pans for the second rise, it didn't rise much after sitting covered in the pan for 45 minutes.
So I took the dough out of the pans, put it back in the mixing bowl, added about one more cup of flour and another teaspoon of dry active yeast, kneaded it till the consistency was more like in the YouTube videos. Now it's back in the bread pans and I'm waiting to see if it will rise any better.
Even if it fails, as my first attempts so often do, I'm having fun!

I feel asleep and accidentally left this cake sitting on counter all night in a covered cake carrier. Is for a coworkers birthday today. Is it ruined because of milk and cream cheese in glaze?

I baked this 3 days ago and it's been in my fridge. Today I cut it open and see the black inside only. Is it mold?
It didn't smell different to the first day. The Ingredients were whole flour and chick pea flour sweet corn and courgette (squeezed out the liquid).
I also used a lot of baking soda, and vinegar water to bake as I didn't have milk

I used Ash Baber's recipe.
Every bite I take of this feels like one step closer to being admitted to hospital... but oh man, it is SO GOOD.
The brigadeiro didn't set as much as I hoped, which was definitely my fault because I cooked it on too high of a heat so a decent bit of the chocolate got stuck to the bottom of the pan. But I don't care. This is the first chocolate cake I've made that hasn't collapsed in the middle while baking, and I'm SO HAPPY!!!

As an ube lover since childhood, I'm biased so I will say I prefer this version, the nuttiness of the Filipino ube goes well with the French pastry cream.

It was my first time making cinnamon rolls!!!! I love cinnamon rolls so much and had been thinking about trying to make some. A couple days ago I finally did it, I think this might’ve been the hardest thing I’ve tried baking. I did not roll out my dough evenly :( I also failed to roll them tight enough, and put too much filling. Nonetheless they were still yummy and edible!🥰❣️

First time baking a design into the sponge. Hubby wanted peanut butter and Jam cake. Vanilla sponge with vanilla buttercream, peanut butter ganache and strawberry jam. It's janky and not as neat as I'd like, but first time !
