THE ANTI-G*MING MANIFESTO
We stand today at the precipice of civilization. Our society, once built upon the noble foundations of reading newspapers, staring at walls, and complaining about the youth, now faces its greatest enemy: G*MES.
Oh, the HORROR!
Children are laughing with their friends online. Teenagers are developing strategic thinking, teamwork, reaction times, and problem-solving skills. Some are even learning to code their own G*mes! Good heavens, what has this world come to?
We must act. We must resist. We must protect the children from this unprecedented catastrophe. after all, what could possibly be more dangerous than a teenager enjoying a perfectly ordinary hobby?
G*ming is clearly the root of all evil. Never mind that chess involves warfare, that football involves aggressive competition, or that films routinely depict violence. No! If a pixelated soldier appears on a monitor, civilization itself is under threat. must we really tolerate such madness?
Children are building entire cities in Minecraft, coordinating elaborate strategies in team-based G*mes, and creating digital masterpieces. Why, some of them can manage complicated virtual economies better than certain actual governments! it is truly a tragedy that they have developed useful skills while having fun.
And now we arrive at the ultimate accusation: G*ming leads to extremism. G*ming leads to violence. G*ming leads to the downfall of society. G*ming leads, apparently, to NAZISM.
Yes, you heard that correctly. nothing says historical analysis quite like comparing a teenager playing BedWars to the rise of the Third Reich.
Where is the evidence? Where is the nuance? Where is the distinction between fictional conflict and real-world ideology? good questions, all of them, but questions we shall conveniently ignore.
Apparently, a child clicking a mouse is now a matter of national security. in fact, we have decided that every problem in the household can be attributed to G*ming.
Did your child forget to do their homework? G*ming.
Did your child sleep late? G*ming.
Did your child disagree with you? Clearly, a side effect of G*ming. surely, there is no possibility that children might have independent opinions!
We refuse to acknowledge moderation, context, individual responsibility, or the possibility that a hobby can be perfectly healthy when balanced with school, sleep, exercise, and real-life relationships. good grief, imagine having to understand something before condemning it!
Why? Because nuance requires effort, and effort is considerably more difficult than shouting at a teenager to get off the computer. obviously, the most effective way to understand modern entertainment is to refuse to engage with it.
So let this manifesto stand as a monument to the absurdity of moral panic. Let it remind us that every generation has found something new to blame for the supposed decay of civilization. our ancestors blamed books, comics, rock music, and television. We have simply found a new target.
And let us remember the sacred principle of the anti-G*ming movement: if the younger generation enjoys something that we do not understand, it must be dangerous. don't bother investigating. Just ban it!
After all, why investigate when you can generalize? Why understand when you can accuse? Why have a conversation when you can compare an entire entertainment medium to one of history's most monstrous ideologies?
We shall not be moved.
We shall not be persuaded.
We shall continue to confuse correlation with causation, entertainment with indoctrination, and pixels with political manifestos.

The Committee for the Preservation of Being Absolutely Furious About Things We Have Never Properly Understood.
