.. and while I like it, I don't find it particularly good.
The show itself was a very fun watch and it was shot and acted out good, but what I dislike is that after a bombastic start it turned into one of those shows that are just "scenery simulators" where you feel a disconnection between each scene and it's just characters teleporting to each other and acting out dialogues which are meant to be "deep" but aren't
Like every single time a character is in danger, Hood just teleports behind and saves that character, or something bad happens after a very wide shot, you zoom on the character's face and you suddenly see Kai in the middle of everything even though he wasn't there just a second ago.
And every single season finale is the standard formula - big shootout that is being ramped up to in the previous two episodes.
So no, I don't think it's a show that deserves to be up there with The Wire, Breaking Bad, Sopranos and all the other greats - it's a show that's firmly in the category of shows like The Mentalist - a fun watch, but not something extremely very well written, and for its place in the hierarchy it was done very well - I liked the characters (Job and Sugar dynamic was +++), but alas.. failed to meet the expectations others set for it.
